Hebrews 12:1-29 KJV

[1] Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, [2] looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. [3] For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. [4] Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. [5] And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, Nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: [6] For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, And scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. [7] If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? [8] But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. [9] Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? [10] For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. [11] Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. [12] Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; [13] and make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. [14] Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: [15] looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; [16] lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. [17] For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. [18] For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest, [19] and the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more: [20] (for they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart: [21] and so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:) [22] but ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, [23] to the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, [24] and to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. [25] See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: [26] whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. [27] And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. [28] Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: [29] for our God is a consuming fire.

Note for 20241128

I don’t know about you, but sometimes when I read the Word, it is as if my mind is in a heavenly Gym of some kind. The thing is that there is so much said here, but the author writes from a preposition that the reader knows, at least, the things of the Old Testament. So, he refers to happenings in the past which are accepted in the Faith, and compares it with what came anew from the New Covenant by The Blood of Christ Jesus our Lord. Even that, how in times past, it was a fearsome thing to approach GOD Almighty, as He explained here what happened at the Mount when Moses received the Law from GOD.

But, the matter that is of interest here for me today, is of the matter of being Chastised by The Lord. Yes, it is of special interest for me, because I pray for the correction of the Lord that I do not go into error. Friends, the price is too high. Who rejects the Kingdom of Heaven, after he has tasted it? Chastisement is for the sake of righteousness, and we lean to righteousness because of our affinity towards Christ. We want to do the right thing, not? We refuse error, even resisting the temptations of the flesh, not? If that is true in you, then correction is a welcome friend, though it can be hard at times, when we discover the error of our ways. The same, when we have a reliable Guide unto all that is Good in the Sight of GOD, in The Holy Spirit that God sent unto us as a Comforter. These things are only true though if we have a heart unto righteousness and not seeking every occasion to give into the earthly pleasures of the flesh that will drag us down into the deepest pit, polluting the sanctity of the Holy Spirit in us. So we can say with Paul then, that which I do not want to do, that I do; that which I want to do, I do not. Now I have come to know that it is not I that sin, but the flesh. I know, this itself feels like a mental workout. The Lord said, resist the devil and he shall flee from you, what then is it to resist? And if then failing to resist that which corrupts the soul, is the chastisement by Him who loves us then not welcomed for the salvation of our soul? Only when we have part in this correction, when we resist that which is as abominable in the sight of GOD, can we step into a place of compassion for those that are still struggling with it. Hence, love thy neighbour as thyself. We must learn the shame of error, before mercy is made manifest in us for others.

So, let me give you a little bit of testimony. Back, when I was much younger, I struggled with alcoholism. I asked for help from friends and superiors at my place of employment. Only, they did not see it as a real problem. So, I was someone that partied hard and often, like many of my age back then; what was the great problem, I would grow out of it as I mature, they might have thought; besides, I was great fun when I got drunk and provided much entertainment for those around. But, I knew I had a problem. I have lost control. My body was screaming for a drink, maybe as a coping mechanism for much deeper things. This brought me to one of the lowest points in my life, when I attempted to take my own life. Thank GOD for His protection, that He gave me a way out of that. Just a few Words that came to mind in a gesture, “The Lord is my Shepherd.” That is when I laid down the 9mm pistol beside me, and they could approach me, to take me to receive the help I so desperately needed. Treated then for the attempted suicide, but also given coping mechanisms to deal with alcohol abuse. About 4 years later, I gave up drinking for good, when I learned that it was like an enemy for me. That it would rob me of everything I have in life, including my son, for 20 years.

Chastisement is no fun my friends, and I was hardheaded. But I hope that my testimony will permit you to see the enemy that raises his head even deep within our own flesh. That which is against the Word of GOD, is not a friend of the human soul. I learned that the hard way. But now, I am grateful, for that is checked off on my learning curve. Next month, I will be 28 years sober. It would have been great if that was the only lesson I had to learn in life, even the expense of losing a loved one out of your life, because of who you are. In a brief conclusion of my testimony, it is good that you should know that my son did come back into my life and we have a bond that is a gift from heaven.

Because I did not have someone reliable in the moments when I cried out for help, I learned to be that help for someone in distress, when I see it. To be that, which I needed and didn’t have in a human friend. No! It is God Himself that rescued me, multiple times, from myself and from others. Now that deviance is purged from me. It is as oil for my lamp, it will keep my flame burning for the Lord.

Is it necessary for you to bump your head on every sharp corner in your walk of faith like I did? No. But, then you must do what I did not do, and that is to listen to the Lord, the Word of GOD, that speaks on strong drink. How much agony I could have been spared from, if only I took the time to read and understand Proverbs. But, I didn’t, and paid an expensive price. Still was it worth it, because of the correction of the Lord. So now, maybe you can understand why I pray for the correction of the Lord.

Don’t be like I was, listen to good advice. No party is good enough, to be worthy of the cost you may have to pay for error. Listen to someone that had to pay the price. Not me, but He that saved my life. Listen to the Words of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; for without him, not only would I have been lost, I would not be alive today. I know, because it was my own finger on that trigger. In my life, Satan almost won and I will be forever grateful that GOD stepped in when I needed Him most.

Shalom

The House of Bread · Voice Note for 20241127 – Hebrews – Part 11 – By Faith

Hebrews 11:1-40 KJV

[1] Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. [2] For by it the elders obtained a good report. [3] Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. [4] By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. [5] By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. [6] But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. [7] By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. [8] By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. [9] By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: [10] for he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. [11] Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. [12] Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable. [13] These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. [14] For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. [15] And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. [16] But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. [17] By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, [18] of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: [19] accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. [20] By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. [21] By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff. [22] By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones. [23] By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment. [24] By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; [25] choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; [26] esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. [27] By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. [28] Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them. [29] By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned. [30] By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days. [31] By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. [32] And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: [33] who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, [34] quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. [35] Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: [36] and others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: [37] they were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; [38] (of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. [39] And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: [40] God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Note for 20241127

And we? We are called to Faith in Jesus Christ, to believe in Him as the Savior that GOD promised, even His own, only Begotten Son, so we would not perish but have everlasting life.

Seeing, then, what these mentioned here suffered through, but were delivered by The LORD, it should strengthen our faith. Because of what GOD has done we can be assured of His promised Salvation, even the promise of reward. It is written that the meek shall inherit the Earth and that the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous. Having our eyes on The Lord, our heart is to be in Him, to be where He is as His betrothed. I ask you this question; if promised to be where He is with Him, where then shall we be when He returns to rule on Earth? Who are the Saints on the White Horses that come with Him in Heaven at His return? See, Israel was promised the land of Canaan, who then is promised to rule and reign with Christ? The Kingdom of GOD is in you, He said. And on another occasion He said, don’t you know that you will judge angels. But we are called to meekness, so we may be co-inheritors of the Earth as a reward of faith. We are to circumcise the heart, to walk in the righteousness of Christ, by the example He left for us and by His instruction. We are called to unity, not division. And the same said, judge not lest ye be judged even as we pray, forgive our trespasses, as we forgive those that trespass against us. What then is the shield of righteousness, which is the shield of faith, for in Abraham, his faith was accounted to him as righteousness and in the same faith are we called to be the children of Abraham, not having seen yet believing, blessed by the very lips of Christ Himself.

Friends, my faith in Jesus Christ our Savior, and our Father in Heaven, is not of my perfection by deeds of my own. The foundation of my faith is in the Love of GOD that He has shown. My faith is rooted in what GOD promised, for He is the Keeper of His Word and His covenants. If The Lord spoke it, if He gave His Word, it will be just as He spoke creation into being.

What then, if we believe as we claim to do, are the Words that were given regarding the time we are living in? Who will see destruction and who will be saved? We are called to life in Christ, the Lamb of GOD by the Blood of Christ are we separated from our sin. But what of the non-believer? What of him that does not stand in faith? What does the Word of GOD say of them? And yet, all that comes to faith is promised the Salvation in Christ Jesus. Why would I walk in my own way? Why would I seek my own will in things, when it is proven that GOD’S Will will be done? And the Will of GOD is that none will be lost, that all will repent of their transgressions and be saved. It requires Faith in the very same Lamb of GOD that He gave.

As I was saved by The Word of GOD, and as I am set apart from this world unto GOD, I preach the same Salvation as what Christ spoke of. Speaking of the Good News that saved me, that it will save you, in Christ as the Savior of Mankind, sanctified by ordination of GOD our Father, the Creator and Most High GOD. Suffering through the trials and tribulations of this life, in a world that does not Honor our God, but reject him even as this current ruler of a fallen world, rejected his office in heaven. They stand in rebellion against The Most High and are thus in league with their father, the one who started a rebellion in the Heavens.

Oh, I believe in the Word of GOD because it is sure, and side on the side of righteousness, for I have received of the Love of GOD our Creator. I seek not my will, but His, believing the Word that He gave.

What is your faith in then; a paycheck? A man or a woman? A parent or a child, maybe a friend? Is your faith in the law of man, or by the promise of a politician? No, friends; I will cast my lot with Christ Jesus the Son of GOD. For He will stand with me in the fire, He will calm the storms around me. He will bring bread down from heaven if I have need for it. He will bring the rains when it is due, and withhold it to get mankind’s attention. He will do miracles, give signs and wonders, He will shake the earth and tear the heavens open to save His beloved children. He will hold time in place for a moment, even roll it back a few steps to confirm His Word. He will keep His Word, by the Power and the Strength that is in Him. He will give a wicked ruler over a wicked people and all along still bring those that trust in Him through safely to Him. He will collect me, even if it requires a fiery chariot of Heaven. The Lord is my Shelter, He is my Rock. I stand in this surety, because of the Love He has for us. He has forgiven me of my debt of sin, He is my Savior and my Protector. Blessed and Holy is the Name of our Most High GOD, the Father in Heaven of Christ and by Christ our Father in Heaven too. That is where my peace comes from, in faith in the Living GOD of all Creation.

Shalom.

Verse of The Day

From the YouVersion Bible App (Expanded from verse 8)

1 Peter 4:7-11 KJV

[7] But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. [8] And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. [9] Use hospitality one to another without grudging. [10] As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. [11] If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Note on 1 Peter 4:7-11

As we read here, we also keep in mind that which we just read in Hebrews 11. By faith in God are we able to accomplish this, by His strength.

Friends, writing here, I have come to know that it is of the Righteousness of Christ that I am able to perform this. It flows through me to you, but the origin is in Christ Jesus. By the Spirit of GOD can we testify of the Word of GOD. Seeking not glory for ourselves, for we testify that the good in us is of Him. Yes, we received before we can give, therefore, you are blessed also in what I received, as I will be edified by that which you received from the Lord. The Lord Jesus Christ remains the source of our peace. We stand here for Christ, as He stands for us at our Father in Heaven. We testify here on earth, He testifies from the Throne of GOD. We call the Lord our Savior, because as mankind we are desperately in need of such a Savior. We fall short of the Glory of GOD, but Christ will present to himself a perfect bride, without spot or wrinkle.

Shalom

Hebrews 10:1-39 KJV

[1] For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. [2] For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. [3] But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. [4] For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. [5] Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, But a body hast thou prepared me: [6] In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. [7] Then said I, Lo, I come (In the volume of the book it is written of me,) To do thy will, O God. [8] Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; [9] then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. [10] By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. [11] And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: [12] but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; [13] from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. [14] For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. [15] Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, [16] This is the covenant that I will make with them After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, And in their minds will I write them; [17] And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. [18] Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.  [19] Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, [20] by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; [21] and having an high priest over the house of God; [22] let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. [23] Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) [24] and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: [25] not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. [26] For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, [27] but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. [28] He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: [29] of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? [30] For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. [31] It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. [32] But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions; [33] partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used. [34] For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance. [35] Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. [36] For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. [37] For yet a little while, And he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. [38] Now the just shall live by faith: But if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. [39] But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Note for 20241126

In reading this, I was reminded of “the falling away” that Christ spoke of. It is a very serious chapter this, considering that one can receive the gift of Salvation and the forgiveness of sin, and then walk out after sin again. The question then is if the gift was taken up at all in the first place.

The question which is wise to ask oneself, is what I find pleasure in? Is my mind washed by the Word of GOD? Does my heart yearn after the Will of GOD? Does my body stand in service of the Living GOD? What’s more in that we should love the Lord our God with all of our mind, all of our heart and all of our strength. How do I then measure up? Do I love my neighbour as myself? To keep the watch, is to keep these true in me. For that there is then a contention in the flesh, to subdue it to the Word of GOD. If my soul is cleansed and sanctified, then I should walk after the manner of the new man, not continue after the lusts of the flesh and in contention with those GOD loves. Indeed, then, I will do unto others in righteousness as I would have them do unto me. This thinking, which should be an inner working of my approach to all whom God has given me recorded here, as if in thinking, for you who reads here’s benefit. Also, to reaffirm the solid foundation established in me in Christ Jesus, by the working of the Holy Spirit of GOD, in me. That I give no room for the working of satans and devils in me, resisting, so he shall flee. The old man that once reigned in me, sent to the grave with Christ, of which the baptism is the signaling of; and the new man that rise up from the water, which is the Word of GOD that quences the thirst for life, adopted wholeheartedly and placed in service of The Kingdom of GOD. That also means, that I do not stand in agreement with the urges of the old man, no, I contend with it and hate the works of the fallen man. Instead I am duly focused on permitting that which is good to rise up, by the working of the Spirit of Christ working within me. We cannot serve both GOD and Mammon, did Christ not say that too? You cannot have two masters, for you will love one and hate the other. So when I love, I love what is of GOD, and when I hate, I hate that which stands contrary to the Holy Word of GOD; and in resisting evil, the devil must flee from me, by the ordinances of GOD. Then, it is not I that rebuke the devil, but the Word of GOD.

So, it is a fairly common saying, that Christ Jesus is the Savior, but is Christ your Rabbi, your Teacher? If then the Teacher, what is taught in the Word of GOD, for when He came to His disciples, He said, “follow me.” What is it, then, to follow? For at that time, he also said to one who requested to go and lay his father to rest that passed on, “Let the dead bury the dead.” They that were fishermen, to them He said, “I will make you fishers of men.” So the question stands, what change came in us in response to the Calling that we heard? Christ also said that many are called but just a few are chosen. He spoke of the reborn man, and of The Kingdom of GOD by parables.

The final line of questions is then this: What change has come into effect? And in our labour, do we labour for God’s Kingdom, or establishing our own? What does it mean to you, to be Saved by Christ? And in what you believe, is it foundational in the Teachings of Christ? For we have just One Teacher, Just One Savior, for He is The Only Begotten Son of GOD, there is no other. Do we stand in His Teachings, or in the teachings of man by interpretation; himself taught of human understanding in some college or university that also teaches all kinds of contrary things? Are we to follow Christ or this world, for no man can serve two masters wholly.

Friends, this is steak. If we are then to meditate, should we not meditate on the Word of GOD? Wisdom, it is written, starts with the fear of GOD. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living GOD. Now I have not attended any of these colleges or universities in the subject of the Word of GOD. No! I was taught in the inner room, as much as I share here with you from that place of sanctuary. Of all that you have read today, how can you still hold on to the false doctrine of men? For GOD is One, even the Holy One of Israel, how then can we stand in divisions? There are many false christs among us, a strange sort of man that has come in among us; as wolves in sheep clothing, they tax the widow, abondon the orphan and plague the righteous. They line their pockets with gold and silver and request more from the poor who has none left more to give. Like Christ, they say, follow me. I tell you, follow no man, but follow Christ. Read the Word of GOD yourself, and make your request known to God in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Now, we still know in part, but The Lord will complete the good work He started in you. The Lord is the Author and the Finisher of your Faith. On Him you can depend, and sing songs of praise and worship in the likeness of King David. But, the inner man, must be pointed securely on Christ alone. We love one another, from the love of GOD that we received by the Mercy shown in Christ.

Still, even at this late hour of the existence of mankind, you have your own choice to make. Who then will you serve this day?

Shalom.

[17] Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. [18] And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; [19] to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Hebrews 9:1-28 KJV

[1] Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. [2] For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary. [3] And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; [4] which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; [5] and over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly. [6] Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God. [7] But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: [8] the Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: [9] which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; [10] which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. [11] But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; [12] neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. [13] For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: [14] how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? [15] And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. [16] For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. [17] For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. [18] Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. [19] For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, [20] saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. [21] Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. [22] And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. [23]  It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. [24] For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: [25] nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; [26] for then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. [27] And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: [28] so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Note for 20241125

Do you understand what you just read, what you stand in the hearing of? In times past, I have said that what Christ has done for us is perfect. So while the blood of pure animals were needed in the past for sanctification and the cleansing of what is temporary, so the Blood of Christ covered that which is everlasting, which is the souls of mankind. In both instances, it requires participation. In the old, the animal was brought as a gift of sacrifice to the tabernacle, but in the new, faith is required in the One Who shed His Blood for All. Though the comparisons are complex to understand, especially for those who have little knowledge of these things; the language can be understood and believed. Let’s then make it a little easier to understand. The believer then, had to travel to the Temple Mount, but we must come to Christ Jesus, Who was this sacrifice for us, though dying for us, now He lives. As Christ died for us, now we should live for Him.

Yes, friends; this is indeed about life and death. And while the soul is destined to go beyond the grave, to what and who shall it go? When we have a memorial for one that has passed, it is the living giving a memorial for the dead, in a remembrance of a life lived. For the dead, this race of life is done, while we are running still. We greet and mourn our loss, while the dust that came from the earth must return to the earth, the breath in us must return to where it came from. As Christians, we are familiar with this mystery in the Word of GOD and by what our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, spoke of. For the dead, the time is done; all choices were made and they will meet that end they chose. But we… We still live, our breath is still in us. We can still choose. How much time we have left is only known to GOD. Of all the words in the Word of GOD, we can conclude that it is best to know our choice in every breath.

Of comfort, in truth; all I have to give is what the Word gave us. The rest is just guessing friends. I hope that you will make the right choice, as I hope that the dead did; who of mankind truly knows the secret conversation of the heart?

Today’s text gives us an assurance that Jesus Christ is duly qualified. As the Lamb of GOD, sacrificed for all mankind unto the forgiveness of sin and the salvation of the souls of us all. As the dead made all their choices and it is done, what is the response of your soul on this day to Him? For we live day-by-day, from one breath to the next in the present. Yesterday gone and tomorrow not promised, here on Earth. The present is all we have for sure, and even our next breath is in hope. Serve the Lord then as you breathe, let your choice be clear in every breath.

Shalom

Hebrews 8:1-13 KJV

[1] Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; [2] a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. [3] For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer. [4] For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law: [5] who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount. [6] But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. [8] For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, When I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: [9] Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers In the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; Because they continued not in my covenant, And I regarded them not, saith the Lord. [10] For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel After those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, And write them in their hearts: And I will be to them a God, And they shall be to me a people: [11] And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, And every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: For all shall know me, From the least to the greatest. [12] For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, And their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. [13] In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Note for 20241124

You know, almost everything that is born, and everything that is sown, grows up and grows old, then passes on to leave room for what comes next. I say almost everything, because for some their tale is short lived. And of course then we have the exclusions of Enoch, Elijah and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Christ, of course, the First Fruit of the Promised Resurrection. For all the generations of mankind, we have known the text, “dust to dust” in effect. The author here, speaks on two covenants, the first came by the Law and the second by The Greater, which is Grace and The Merciful Kindness of our Creator, in Jesus Christ.

The Lord said that no flesh can enter into the Kingdom of GOD, so we still see the dust returning to dust of man, but the soul, that carries on. All these examples have been left for us in The Word of GOD, but only Christ showed us the True Way to The Kingdom of GOD. Of Enoch it is written that He was and then He was no more found, that the LORD loved Him so that He went to be with the LORD and Elijah, was collected by a chariot of fire from heaven, with Elisha standing witness. But Christ, He ascended in the sight of His Disciples, and He promised He will return the same way, in a day and hour we expect Him not. Every example of what is coming, has been shown to us in some way or form by the LORD, recorded in His Word, for man to read and know. But this, His Law, by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, He places within our hearts, so we can know of good and evil and to choose righteousness. GOD knew that we would fail in this, so He gave His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ; to pay the debt of Sin, that we who believe in Him, may live and not perish with corruptible things. So is our Hope in Christ, that we can pass on from that which is temporary, to that which lasts forever. That then a brief summation of History and the path of man, which ends in judgment of the soul of man. The wicked excluded from Salvation for their rejection of The Giver of Life Eternal. So was the first covenant fulfilled by Christ, that the second may come into full effect. Death is the end of the Law, but the Word of GOD extends beyond death, even as the widowed are permitted to marry another again, but the dead cannot take another again.

Friends, if a man or woman cannot take part in the Kingdom of GOD here in the Spirit of GOD, then they have no part in the Kingdom of GOD to come. This life is where we choose to Trust in God or His enemy. We choose here and now, even everyday, the kingdom we prefer to belong to (to state it simply.) How then will you choose by word and deed, who will you honor with your life that yet remains in you? For that speaks to this covenant on offer from the Most High GOD. We have seen those that choose against it, as we have seen those who choose for it; and yet, we cannot know for certain for another, for we know not the secret conversations of their hearts.

This were we given:

By their fruit shall you know them. Also, to love our neighbour as ourselves, which Christ increased to include love for our enemy at the sermon on the mount. And the greatest of all, to Love the LORD our God with All our heart, mind and soul.

So, today, my question is simple: For whom do you live? For, the Lord also said that those that seek to save their own lives will lose it, and those that lose it for the Sake of His Name, shall gain it. Everything you need to know for eternal Salvation is here in the Word of GOD. Have you then accepted the Word of GOD. And if your answer is yes, have you read it?

Shalom

Hebrews 7:1-28 KJV

[1] For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; [2] to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; [3] without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. [4] Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils. [5] And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham: [6] but he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. [7] And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better. [8] And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth. [9] And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham. [10] For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him. [11] If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? [12] For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. [13] For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar. [14] For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood. [15] And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, [16] who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life. [17] For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchisedec. [18] For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. [19] For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God. [20] And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest: [21] (for those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchisedec:) [22] By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. [23] And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: [24] but this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. [25] Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. [26] For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; [27] who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. [28] For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

Note for 20241123

Have you not noticed yet, that for so much that comes to us by the Spirit, even as much as Salvation itself; in the Old Testament there seems to be an example of? It is almost as if in the Old Testament the president was established, so that in Jesus Christ it could not be denied. We know that Abraham was prepared to sacrifice his son Isaac to GOD, then God stopped him and provided a replacement for the altar in a ram. Which opened up the Law of replacement, for one to die for the sin of another.

Here in Hebrews we read about the pedigree of Christ, and how the law permits, and more, how both the law and the prophets are fulfilled in Christ.

The standard of a High Priest outside the line of Aaron was established in that Abraham paid tithe to Melchisedek. Even in as much that Melchisedek was senior to Levi (the tribe which Aaron came from, and GOD elected for himself as an inheritance,) since Levi (in Abraham) paid the tribute of tithe to him. Yes, there is a lot that is explained here by reason, for the Jew it would be crucial for the president to be established in the law, because they received the law from GOD via Moses. But this is not just for the Jew, but also for the Gentile; even as a peace of mind, that Jesus Christ indeed is the Promised Messiah, prophesied of by the Prophets of The LORD. So can we know that not only was Jesus sanctified, but also was He fully qualified. This here then (for a more common speech) how Jesus Christ “tick all of the boxes,” of being the Messiah.

Now we believe by our faith in Jesus Christ. Our faith establishes in us that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour, and the Holy Spirit bears witness of that in us. We know by the same Spirit of GOD, that Jesus Christ is the Son of GOD. However, it is good to know that there is a solid foundation for our faith and that Christ fully complied with both the law and the prophets, even fulfilling it. For us, it ties all together, but for those who refuse Christ Jesus, it leaves them without excuse or defense. In Christ alone are we justified. In Christ alone can we receive everlasting life, just as it is declared in John 3:16.

Friends, the Word of GOD is not always just for “a feel good moment.” There is much to establish and much to confirm, that what we believe with all that we are, indeed is entirely lawful, according to the Law of GOD.

This description of Christ being a High Priest in the order of Melchisedek is a much bigger “deal” than what we may think at first. You see, it establishes the rule that Christ can stand as our High Priest forever at the throne of GOD. It establishes not only our salvation, but also our deliverance and redemption. It is legal, by president, in the Court of Heaven.

Not all of us can make sense of these higher things. I know. But, go and be still before the Lord and consider this. You will be surprised how much comfort it brings, the moment you realize, that is why our Father in Heaven sent His Only Begotten Son as He did. Because of His love for us, GOD made a way for us, where there was no way. The Law He gave to Moses, established what sin was; and by it, man was condemned to death. So, in place of the blood of animals which served only temporarily, Christ came out of the House of the eternal GOD and made atonement for eternity for us who believe in Him. That we may have eternal life. Our Salvation is thus wholly of what Christ did upon the cross, else we would have to bring daily sacrifices as it was the practice in the temple and under the Law that came via Moses.

I hope this helps you. I hope it brings you comfort and that you may find peace within, because of what Christ has done for you.

Shalom.

Hebrews 6:1-20 KJV

[1] Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, [2] of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. [3] And this will we do, if God permit. [4] For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, [5] and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, [6] if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. [7] For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: [8] but that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. [9] But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. [10] For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. [11] And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: [12] that ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. [13] For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, [14] saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. [15] And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. [16] For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. [17] Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: [18] that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: [19] which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; [20] whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Note for 20241122

We are saved by Christ Jesus our Lord. We cannot save ourselves, our works may count for good in obedience, but it is the righteousness of Christ that is our Salvation. We have already transgressed the Law of GOD, which makes us sinners. We are saved by Him, Who has never broken the Law. He sits in perfection at the right hand of GOD our Father in Heaven. Forever.

We have failed already; yet, in Christ we are forgiven. He is willing and able to forgive, able as an High Priest, making atonement for His own. Where we failed, He succeeded, even fulfilling the whole Law. Sealed by the gravestone, a life lived perfect before the LORD GOD Almighty. One of Adam, to undo the curse of sin. Of order by GOD, ordained and sanctified. So, GOD made His Son the Head of the House, the ruler over all creation, established forever. We were given to Christ by GOD who made us. Yes, like a bride, we must become one in Spirit and in Truth.

Now for us, who are seen as Gentiles (though we are made one in Christ;) These words may seem a little foreign. We cannot trace our lines back to Abraham. Even if there was a line, how would we know today? Our history lies in obscurity, in faded lines, covered by the sand of forgetfulness. Even so, if we could trace a line back to King David himself, what will it benefit us? Those lines cannot save us. No! The salvation of mankind is sealed by Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD and our coming King.

However, now that we know our Salvation, that it is indeed by grace alone, a free gift given in the Love of GOD; shall we then go on living as we once did? Yes, all fall short of the Glory of GOD, but do we have to carry on to live like the Godless? We have a Hope, we are not hopeless. We have a promise, we are no longer orphans in this world. We have a Father in Heaven and we have Jesus Christ our King. We are no longer alone and disregarded, but regarded in High Esteem, as believers, even as the Bride of Jesus Christ. We are the children by adoption, called in and chosen. Elected from amongst the people who stand in enmity with GOD. We are saved, by mercy and grace. We are saved by the Mercy and Grace of GOD, and in our faith in Jesus Christ, our sins are forgiven. Sinners, saved by grace.

Shall we then go forth ungrateful? For we were set for death by our efforts to save ourselves. Our own justifications and excuses failed us, we in ourselves were imperfect. We are forgiven, washed clean by the Blood of Jesus Christ, in His righteousness. Is there a place for pride in a free gift? And if we receive it freely, can we withhold it from those that it is intended for?

Man stands in a parallax error, viewing heavenly things from an earthly perspective. So. Must we then be guided by the Word of One that is Perfect and without such error.

We are saved by GOD’S Grace.

Shalom

Hebrews 5:1-14 KJV

[1] For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins: [2] who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity. [3] And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins. [4] And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron. [5] So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, To day have I begotten thee. [6] As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchisedec. [7] Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; [8] though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; [9] and being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; [10] called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. [11] Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. [12] For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. [13] For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. [14] But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Note for 20241121

Are you overwhelmed? Does your soul feint, with pressures mounting on every side, even as a city under siege? While so much of that which comes against you, hides in the shadows of the unknown and presents itself in the faces of those who you may have affection for in your heart; know this too, there is some that prayed on your part at the Throne of GOD. Chief of these that stand on your part, is Jesus Christ Himself, Who sits at the Right Hand of GOD Almighty, our loving Father in Heaven, interceding for those who believe in Him and obey His commandments. At the least, we have the assurance that He at least prayed for all of us once, when He prayed, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Such is He that the Author here writes of, as the High Priest after the order of Melchisedec. In Himself, perfect before GOD His Father, having suffered all on our behalf and presenting himself upon that cross without sin. Such is the eternal sacrifice made by the High Priest of GOD, for all mankind.

I know that there are those among you that will read here, and once more feel overwhelmed. The author here, also writes about those who should be eating strong meat, yet remaining in need of milk. As little babes, who cannot do anything for themselves in need of constant care, which GOD provides, in dispatching the Heavenly Angels to stand on guard for the souls for all that is His. The very same inheritance that GOD gave to Christ Jesus, His Son. The Word of GOD is full of promises unto Salvation, Protection and Provision for those that place their trust in Him. And yet, by the Merciful Kindness of GOD our Father, it rains upon both the wicked and the righteous, even on the wicked for the sake of the righteous; but also in the hope that all will come to repent before their Creator, in the Name that was made The Way unto Salvation, the Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior. And this, still just of the milk for the faith of the young believer. For when Spiritual maturity comes, those who received the mercy of The Lord are also sent out in His stead, to minister the Gospel of Salvation to everyone who would receive them. It is a ministry of love and compassion, by the Will of GOD our Father and by instruction from His Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who will return as the King of kings.

With all that is manifesting in the world today, of which you now stand in the witness of; the time has come, my friends, for meat. Are you ready yet? Are you ready to receive the Lord, or will you hide out with the wicked in dug out bunkers? He, that is coming to judge the World, is the very same One that made atonement for us upon the cross. When He comes in His wrath against all that refused His free gift of Salvation and everlasting life with Him and our Father GOD. So, don’t think it strange or presumptuous when I ask, “Are you ready yet?” For all that was prophesied will come to be in the appointed time of which we see the signs and symbols to know the time of His coming. So, to all who stand in the Name of Christ, those that call themselves Christian; are you ready yet, or, will you miss the Lord of your Salvation as  a great many of Israel missed His first coming? Does your life present the works called for by those who believe and obey His Word? Which side will you end up on, right or left; sheep or goat? (Matthew 25)

Is it then not an act of love to check on your readiness? To ask the questions of qualification ahead of the Major Event, known as The Day of our Lord, written about throughout the Word of GOD. If then promised of GOD, will it not come, as all the Promises of GOD have not failed yet, to date. Shall it too, not come then? We were called to be ready in each moment, even as Christ told in the parable of the Ten Virgins. Shall our Lord find Faith at His return?

The time is pressing, the signs all around us. Who will listen? So, as Moses once asked of Israel when he descended from the mountain with the ten commandments, who will stand with me for GOD?

Shalom

Hebrews 4:1-16 KJV

[1] Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. [2] For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. [3] For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, If they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. [4] For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. [5] And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. [6] Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: [7] again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts. [8] For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. [9] There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. [10] For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. [11] Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. [12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. [13] Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.  [14] Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. [15] For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. [16] Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Note for 20241120

Friends, how would you then cease from your own works, that you may enter into this peace that GOD gives? Selah.

James wrote, faith without works is dead. The attention is then on the “own” works. For consideration, are the works that we must do then not the works of GOD, by the Holy Spirit of GOD unto all those that GOD loves? Yes, not for our own benefit, not in gain for self, but beneficial for the body of Christ, which is the church. A church, not of brick and mortar, but consisting of the Living building blocks of the Bride of Christ. Love thy neighbour as thyself.

What then of love thy enemy? Selah.

The love of GOD that was poured out into us in the Holy Spirit is the very source from which we are to feed his sheep, as Christ instructed Peter. To cease from your own works, is to do the will of GOD, which is brought to us by the Holy Spirit, sent from GOD our Father in the Name of Jesus Christ His Son. Are we not to walk by the Spirit?

Friends, every time you are moved by the Holy Spirit to do a work, you are laying down your own will, to do the will of GOD. To cease from your own works is to do the works that comes by the inspiration of the Word of GOD, that was placed in you by the Holy Spirit of GOD, in the Name of Jesus Christ, who is the Word of GOD, just as John wrote that the Word of GOD was made flesh in the coming of Jesus Christ unto us in the flesh, which the author, here in this chapter, reaffirms. When you cease from your own works, the inner man, postures himself as a bowing man before the Throne of GOD, where our High Priest, Jesus Christ our Savior, intercedes for us before our Father in Heaven who is the Almighty Creator. Then we can enter into the peace of GOD, for then we are no longer in contention with God, but allies of GOD working to the Will of GOD, that is that none should perish but all be saved, just as we learn in John 3:16.

Here in this world, to gain almost always means that another must lose. Now, do you truly lose, if you give in a way of charity, giving freely as a gift? That is like giving someone money for a product, and then leaving that same product with the person you bought it from as a gift. Give then, without expectation of return. That is a gift. Loving your enemy, that hates you, has no promise of return. Christ died on the cross for sinners, that was a gift too. Such a gift, for when He died for us, we were still adversaries to the Will of GOD. Before we accepted that gift of Christ, we were as enemies of GOD, but in acceptance, we have become friends of Christ and called to do the will of GOD. So by the Holy Spirit we can do the will of GOD.

God is our Provider, He replenishes us. So the rain comes, that is, replenishment from GOD. The planted fields give in increase, the gain received is of GOD, as it is with livestock. But wickedness takes from others without increase to the source it came from. Yes, that is robbery and theft. Who takes a life, cannot restore it to anyone.

I cannot forget what I have learned from GOD, that if I have knowledge that a scale is unjust, that I must permit the favor of that scale to fall to my brother. And all that comes from Adam are brothers, for by Mary, even Christ comes from Adam. All created in the image of GOD are a brother and a sister. GOD is Spirit. GOD is Holy. GOD is love. By their fruit shall you know them.

We must keep in remembrance the story Christ told of the Prodigal Son. While still lost, there are many that will return to their Father in Heaven, received and honored, forgiven and given a cloak of glory. For we were lost once too, so in kindness we can extend the Love of GOD unto all the lost sheep that must still be found. So must we labor in love, even in the love of GOD.

To do the will of GOD does not just come by agreement in the hearing of the Truth. No! It requires to live according to that alignment with the Will of GOD in the Spirit. That is to live in righteousness. And by the Holy Spirit of GOD in us, we can know the Will of GOD, for the Spirit came from the free gift of GOD in Jesus Christ. So is the righteousness in us of Christ, and if then from Christ, Who is the Son of GOD; then from GOD Himself. A gift given freely to those who were once against Him.

We can only give what we have to give. As we received, so can we give. As we are replenished, we can give again. It is just like the rain that comes and falls upon our heads. It drips to the ground and flows on to the sea. It evaporates to join up with the clouds, just to fall upon our heads again. Let the gift of LOVE, that rained down on us from GOD, flow to others. For we will be replenished, it is the way GOD’S creation works. Don’t be a dam wall storing up everything just for yourselves. If it flows, then everyone can receive as they need.

Shalom.

Isaiah 9:1-7 KJV

[1] Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations. [2] The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. [3] Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil. [4] For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian. [5] For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire. [6] For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. [7] Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Hebrews 3:1-19 KJV

[1] Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; [2] who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. [3] For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. [4] For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. [5] And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; [6] but Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. [7] Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, [8] Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, In the day of temptation in the wilderness: [9] When your fathers tempted me, proved me, And saw my works forty years. [10] Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, And said, They do alway err in their heart; And they have not known my ways. [11] So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) [12] Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. [13] But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. [14] For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; [15] while it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. [16] For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. [17] But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? [18] And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? [19] So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

Note for 20241119

Today might seem somewhat counter speech, but it is not. We look at the counter faith, unbelief and the price that is paid for it. We look at what has been left for us as an example of it, what was recorded for our benefit; so we can learn in the hearing of it.

Let me then ask a question for you to consider. Who were kept in the wilderness, just the unbelievers; or, did those who believed and trusted in the LORD their GOD have to stay that 40 years in the wilderness too? Look at Joshua and Caleb, where they not ready to take the land as the LORD instructed? Did they not give a Good report and trusted the LORD to give it in their hands. Yet, had they remained in the wilderness for 40 years with the house of unbelief. Yes, they had to wait, because those with them stood in unbelief.

In that there is a remarkable lesson for us as believers to learn. That one in a house, can make all of the house suffer along with them in unbelief. There are many things in life where one may say, “where is the harm in it?” The unseen harm is that which is withheld from the house because of unbelief. Israel stayed in the wilderness, until those that stood in unbelief were no longer left alive among them. Yes, it is hard to consider, but to consider it, we must. The harm is in the withholding of mercy and grace, the stay that is placed on a blessing, even 40 years in the case of Israel. Now this question, does GOD change? GOD remains full of grace and mercy for He permitted them to live out their lives in the wilderness, but yet, kept Joshua and Caleb, so they could enter into the promised land for their faith remained in GOD.

There is much more to learn from this, but this should suffice for today. Our entering into the rest of the LORD is dependent on our Faith in Jesus Christ. So have we who believe, waited with those of unbelief. We have received inner peace, yes; but we all wait together on the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. Those that stand in unbelief can no more enter into the Kingdom of GOD, than those who stood in unbelief among Israel could enter into the promised land.

For many know only their fate, and their ultimate inheritance, when they cross the threshold of life through death, as Israel crossed the Jordan. Now, the believer crosses that path while still alive, laying the life of self down, for the life of Christ. By our faith, we have died to this world and a life of sin, with Christ; and with Him, we have risen from the dead and become a new creature in Him, that we might live, even to an eternal life with Christ; because of what He did. He that does not believe in Christ Jesus cannot have part in that, just like there were those of Israel, that remained on the wilderness side of the Jordan. They could not come in.

My question to you today, is how long shall we suffer in the house of unbelief, before mankind comes to their senses? What does the Word of GOD say in this regard? What did the prophets and the revelation by the Lord Jesus Christ say?

Know, the promised salvation comes by faith in Christ Jesus alone.

Shalom

Verse of The Day

From the YouVersion Bible App (Expanded from verse 12)

John 15:12-27 KJV

[12] This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. [13] Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. [14] Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. [15] Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. [16] Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. [17]  These things I command you, that ye love one another. [18] If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. [19] If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. [20] Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep your’s also. [21] But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me. [22] If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin. [23] He that hateth me hateth my Father also. [24] If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. [25] But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause. [26] But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: [27] and ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
