Matthew 25:1-46 KJV

[1]  Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. [2] And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. [3] They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: [4] but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. [5] While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. [6] And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. [7] Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. [8] And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. [9] But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. [10] And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. [11] Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. [12] But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. [13] Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. [14]  For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. [15] And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. [16] Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. [17] And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. [18] But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money. [19] After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. [20] And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. [21] His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. [22] He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. [23] His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. [24] Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: [25] and I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. [26] His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: [27] thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. [28] Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. [29] For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. [30] And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. [31]  When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: [32] and before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: [33] and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. [34] Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: [35] for I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: [36] naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. [37] Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? [38] When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? [39] Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? [40] And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. [41] Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: [42] for I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: [43] I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. [44] Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? [45] Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. [46] And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Note for 20250620

Who can say, “I know not what to do?” Aren’t we waiting on the Lord Jesus Christ? Let me ask it like this: are you not a waiter? And what is it to wait on someone? You see how servitude quickly comes into focus again? To be meek and humble and to serve one another, but did the wise virgins give their oil away? What is it that sustains your Faith?

Matthew 6:22 KJV

[22] The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.6.22.KJV

What do you focus on, matters of the light of Jesus Christ, tending to those He loves; or that which pleases you. There are some things you can give, without being depleted in your own stock of it. If it is words of wisdom, then as you give you may increase in wisdom. You may think something works and is good, but untested it remains just an opinion in your head, untested. What is doing good, if it is locked away in some secret drawer?

Are you a goat or are you a sheep? I tell you that there are many in this world that will gather to themselves both, and even try to keep the sheep thinking they are goats. They will camp together, and eat together and all kinds of fruitless joining. I can not make a goat a sheep, but maybe we can remind the sheep that they aren’t goats.

This chapter is all about being ready, and doing what is righteous in the waiting. Can you see that? Let your eye be single on the Lord our Saviour. “Hear ye Him.” The only begotten and believe Son of GOD in whom He is well pleased. The Word of GOD. Do you know His voice and can you follow Him? With man it is impossible, but nothing is impossible for GOD, He can make the most violent man tame, just look at what Christ did for the man identified as Legion. Do you remember when Christ returned, how those who chased Him out of their coast received Him after. Was it maybe by the testimony of Legion?

Each of us was created for a purpose, to take part in the promise of that which awaits us, our portion, as it is set apart since the foundation of the Earth when our Names were written in the Book of Life. Shall we tear out that page, can we access the book of life? After all, GOD is clear in this matter, He will save whom He is pleased to save. Let me put it like this… The sinner on the cross that got saved, we only know his moment on the cross, nothing of his life, but Christ knew.

This chapter speaks on who will be saved and even what will happen to those who are foolish and goats. As a witness of Christ, I am only called to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a testimony. I am not going to drag you to the mill against your will. Whoever wants to hear and receive what the Lord gives, let them have it. Far be it from me to be a force feeder, though in my house, that is what is on the table.

In light of this, what is wisdom then? Solomon wrote to exhaustion on matters of wisdom and foolishness, and yet, grace makes way for mercy and compassion, and the Spirit of GOD made a fool like me someone who can now have a great hope. In Him, I am saved, not just at the end but also day-by-day. Is it not salvation if you are guided not to walk where you would fall? And, while I have a heart that all would grab on to the free gift given, it is for each to bring in of his own. So often, I do not even have a testimony of who received it. You read here, or you hear on the voice recordings; have we met or shared a cup of coffee? Shall I phrase it like this, in my hands I have a bag of seeds, and I sow it, where it lands, the soil determines whether it grows or not and GOD sends that which will sustain it. By the wayside, it is food for the fowls of the air. What is profitable for the Kingdom of GOD? And is GOD not able to carry the seed upon the wind?

Goat or sheep, which are you? Did you read carefully, did you hear?

Matthew 25:41 KJV

[41] Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.25.41.KJV

For who was everlasting fire prepared? Nonetheless, who will land up in it? Oh! All you sheep, stop acting like goats.

Selah, Shalom.

The House of Bread · Note for 20250619 – The Gospel of Jesus Christ – Part 143 – Mat 24 – Endure to the End

Matthew 24:1-51 KJV

[1] And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. [2] And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. [3] And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? [4] And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. [5] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. [6] And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. [7] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. [8] All these are the beginning of sorrows. [9] Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. [10] And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. [11] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. [12] And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. [13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. [14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. [15]  When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) [16] then let them which be in Judæa flee into the mountains: [17] let him which is on the house top not come down to take any thing out of his house: [18] neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. [19] And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! [20] But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: [21] for then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. [22] And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. [23] Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. [24] For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. [25] Behold, I have told you before. [26] Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. [27] For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. [28] For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. [29]  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: [30] and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. [31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. [32] Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: [33] so likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. [34] Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. [35] Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. [36]  But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. [37] But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. [38] For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, [39] and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. [40] Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. [41] Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. [42]  Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. [43] But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. [44] Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. [45] Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? [46] Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. [47] Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. [48] But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; [49] and shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; [50] the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, [51] and shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Note for 20250619

Friends, if there was ever a note that I would suggest for you to take the time to hear on the audio or video version, it would be this one. It should be available on @houseofLechem (YouTube) from sometime this coming day of preparation (Friday) the 20th of June 2025.

Most people today have heard at least a segment of this chapter being preached in some way or form. It is not an unknown chapter in the New Testament. Besides all these signs being given, isn’t it time that we look at one of the timing elements of it?

Matthew 24:13 KJV

[13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.24.13.KJV

Over the past couple of days, we have looked at “the end” quite a bit. Especially, the concept that for all since Christ, that end has come in the form of what we know as death. Now, of the believer, it is written not as death, but sleeping in Christ Jesus. The “dead in Christ,” is also spoken of as the first to rise, according to 1 Thessalonians 4, and many have gone that way. Yes, there will be some alive at the return of Jesus Christ, and they shall join those who are resurrected first in the air with Christ. All will be changed.

There is a reason why I chose this specific verse as the focus point today. And you know that is not a selection in the way you might choose a pair of shoes, but that there is guidance by the Holy Spirit. Enduring to the end, of what?

Did you notice how it is also written here that unless the time is shortened, no flesh would be left? If we are taken in the Spirit alone, why the need for flesh to be saved, are we not better off to be taken to the Lord as through the transition of the death awaiting at the end of life (unto which we must endure?)

Yet, I live. Many conveniently ignore the 1000 years of peace under the rule of the Messiah here on Earth.

Revelation 20:1-7 KJV

[1] And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. [2] And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, [3] and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. [4] And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. [5] But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. [6] Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. [7] And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

https://bible.com/bible/1/rev.20.1-7.KJV

I wanted to give at least this to you today, and how prominent it is written. Now while this is not the only place you can read of it, there is also Isaiah 2:2-4, Isaiah 11:6-9, Micah 4:1-4 and Daniel7:13-14; note that it is a “in-flesh” type of thing. And here, it is crucial to understand the concept of the first resurrection. So, while the believer might sleep in Christ, the first resurrection is promised at the start of this period. Without a return to a full study of the Book of Revelation, at this point, it is important that you know that this period is clearly prophesied of. There is also this, if we are to rule and reign with Christ, if all that is left is of Christ, who will there be reigned over? There remains a second resurrection for those who are not part of the first, you do understand that don’t you? Then who goes after Satan when he is loosened at the end of the period?

Revelation 20:7-10 KJV

[7] And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, [8] and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. [9] And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. [10] And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

https://bible.com/bible/1/rev.20.7-10.KJV

Is it not written clearly that those who are part of the first resurrection will have no part in the second death? Who then rose against the Lord Jesus Christ at that time? There will be a remnant of the living, friends. Don’t you see that?

For the believer, we must endure until the end, so we can be part of this first resurrection. Now how many have slept in Christ since He ascended to our Father in Heaven? Did they not have to endure unto the end too, many of them martyrs for the Name of Jesus Christ and His Gospel. To the very last breath, does that resonate better within our understanding here and now? Until the end of that which GOD has accounted to us for living before the resurrection of the righteous.

So, fear not. For death’s grip was loosened by the Victory of Jesus Christ. That is done, He has accomplished that already. He overcame both sin and death so we may live. So it is written, that the dead in Christ are first to rise and then those who are yet alive are caught up and changed. This is of course, the famous teaching of the rapture. And while rapture may not be explicitly written in the English language, it is in the Greek. We will be caught away.

No, undoubtedly there will be many that once again want to stick their noses in GOD’S “business.” Is it not clearly written here in Matthew 24 that neither the Son of GOD or the Angels know the timing thereof? And that takes trust in God to accept. Accept we must.

What is hidden from both the Son and the Angels of GOD, man wants to know. It kind of shows the arrogance of man, doesn’t it? “In a time you think not,” when you least expect it, “like a thief in the night.” “Endure unto the end.” This is enough for me, GOD says that as many as believe and endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. So, it is an endurance thing, and I am all about that. We must trust in God, “and render unto God what is GOD’S,” which includes my soul. In the end, GOD will redeem my soul unto Himself, I must endure all things in Jesus Christ until then.

Selah, Shalom

The House of Bread · Note for 20250618 – The Gospel of Jesus Christ – Part 142 – Mat 23 – Who are You

Matthew 23:1-39 KJV

[1] Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, [2] saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: [3] all therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. [4] For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. [5] But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, [6] and love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, [7] and greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. [8] But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. [9] And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. [10] Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. [11] But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. [12] And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. [13]  But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. [14] Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. [15] Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. [16] Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! [17] Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold? [18] And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty. [19] Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift? [20] Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon. [21] And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein. [22] And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon. [23]  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. [24] Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. [25] Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. [26] Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. [27] Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. [28] Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. [29] Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, [30] and say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. [31] Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. [32] Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. [33] Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? [34]  Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: [35] that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. [36] Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. [37]  O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! [38] Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. [39] For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Who are You?

It’s a bit of a rough read this morning, isn’t it? In the KJV it stands under a heading, The Great Denunciation. What is this?

Matthew 23:34-36 KJV

[34]  Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: [35] that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. [36] Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.23.34-36.KJV

But, let me give you more…

2 Peter 1:21 KJV

[21] For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

https://bible.com/bible/1/2pe.1.21.KJV

Deuteronomy 18:18-19 KJV

[18] I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. [19] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

https://bible.com/bible/1/deu.18.18-19.KJV

Revelation 19:10 KJV

[10] And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

https://bible.com/bible/1/rev.19.10.KJV

The last quote should be familiar to you. But, please also note that verse 36 in today’s reading speaks of a specific generation, even one that saw the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD. Do you remember the Note on the House of Prayer?

We have to question ourselves in which category we fall. Shall we look at the serpent seed again and Ezra 9. Shall we reread the Book of Jude and 2 Peter 2,  to get familiar with that which at least these two knew? I think I have spoken on this in a large part.

Last night, after I was awakened from a dream, on an unrelated personal matter, I couldn’t fall asleep and I went into prayer. The Holy Spirit was communicating with me on the matter of wisdom, also of things to come, just as Christ said would be the case. While there was no matter on the greater part that we do not already know, there were revelations regarding what is available to the believer in the Spirit of GOD. Friends, we do not have to guess, all we need to do is request in prayer after the righteousness of matters. We have read regarding the wheat and tare and who the reapers are. We have read of the transition we can expect when we meet the end of life here. More and more, we see those of a generation moving along to the other side of breath here on earth, many of those who would not receive us in the message of Jesus Christ.

So, today, as a service to the Church of Jesus Christ, of all those that congregate in His Name, I pose a question to you for self-investigation, namely: Who are you? And just in case, you miss the significance of my question, let me ask it more clearly: Who are you really?

From today’s reading, we must take away how Jesus felt about hypocrisy. Now, I come not by way of accusation or even to sow doubts, but to install that which will bring certainty to those who investigate the matter within. For a few days on end now, I have been hammering on the concept that our day can come at any time, even as we now have this loss in our family. Almost as a foreboding of the inevitable conclusion of all since Christ ascended to our Father in Heaven. Are you sent as prophets, wisemen and scribes among the people, bringing the Word of GOD to every creature, or do we still stand in hypocrisy, fooling noone more than we fool ourselves? There is indeed a road of sanctification and deliverance in Jesus Christ. By the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and we should take advice from Christ here, to clean the inside first, so the outside can be brought into alignment too.

We constantly make an error if we think, “we will have more time.” It is as good as saying, “My Lord delay His coming.” What then of those since Christ that have gone through the grave, are they lost? And what if we should join them, are we called those who slept in Christ? Is it not written too, that the dead in Christ will rise first?

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 KJV

[13] But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. [14] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. [15] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. [16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17] then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. [18] Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

https://bible.com/bible/1/1th.4.13-18.KJV

I do want you to be without this comfort. What then about those who have not slept in Christ, shall we refresh our knowledge on that too? There are many scriptures on this, and probably of the most profound to be found in the Book of Revelation. But, let us hear from Jesus Christ:

John 5:28-30 KJV

[28] Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, [29] and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. [30] I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.5.28-30.KJV

Shall we deceive regarding this matter, be that others, or worse, ourselves? This matter is at hand too, that separation between the wheat and tare, the sheep or goat. While we still draw breath, is this not worthy of consideration?

Still this matter of hypocrisy remains. Is it hypocrisy to speak the truth, even if it does not paint ourselves in a favorable way? Aren’t we sinners saved by grace? But, what does the heart yearn after? Can we at least be truthful to GOD, and if we can, if we are able, truthful to ourselves. For that mark is the start of repentance, discovering the undesirable within ourselves. Then we can recognise the struggle of our fellow kinsmen and women, and show compassion in their journey. Then are we able to help, for salvation is still available.

Selah, Shalom

Hebrews 5:5-10 KJV

[5] So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, To day have I begotten thee. [6] As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchisedec. [7] Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; [8] though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; [9] and being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; [10] called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

Matthew 22:1-46 KJV

[1] And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, [2] The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, [3] and sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. [4] Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. [5] But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: [6] and the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. [7] But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. [8] Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. [9] Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. [10] So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. [11]  And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: [12] and he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. [13] Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. [14] For many are called, but few are chosen. [15] Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk. [16] And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men. [17] Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Cæsar, or not? [18] But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? [19] Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny. [20] And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? [21] They say unto him, Cæsar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Cæsar the things which are Cæsar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s. [22] When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way. [23] The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him, [24] saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. [25] Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother: [26] likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh. [27] And last of all the woman died also. [28] Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her. [29] Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. [30] For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. [31] But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, [32] I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. [33] And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine. [34] But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. [35] Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, [36] Master, which is the great commandment in the law? [37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. [38] This is the first and great commandment. [39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. [40] On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. [41] While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, [42] saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David. [43] He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, [44]  The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies thy footstool? [45]  If David then call him Lord, how is he his son? [46] And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

Note for 20250617

The Title is “Ignored Invitation”

This morning’s reading starts out under the subheading of the wedding garment, and the section concludes with many are called but few are chosen. Surely, you know that those that were invited were the Children of Jacob, more specifically the Jews as we know them today. And when they refused the invitation, the gentiles were invited in, by the servants of our King. Even then, those who had not a wedding garment on were cast out.

Revelation 19:8 KJV

[8] And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

https://bible.com/bible/1/rev.19.8.KJV

Who then are these saints? Are those not them who have accepted the invitation to the marriage supper of the Lamb? Do you want to see something amazing? We also read here in Matthew 22 about the matter of the promised resurrection. Read the two verses that follows on verse 8 in Revelation 19 too:

Revelation 19:9-10 KJV

[9] And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. [10] And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

https://bible.com/bible/1/rev.19.9-10.KJV

“I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus…”

Now read this, which I have set aside before starting to write here:

Matthew 22:29-30 KJV

[29] Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. [30] For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.22.29-30.KJV

Do you see it? Maybe if I quote from the Complete Jewish Bible (The NIV says it in a similar way)

Revelation of Yeshua to Yochanan (Rev) 19:9 CJB

[9] The angel said to me, “Write: ‘How blessed are those who have been invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb!’” Then he added, “These are God’s very words.”

https://bible.com/bible/1275/rev.19.9.CJB

Do you see it now? The Angel that showed John these things we read of in Revelation 19 is a fellow-servant of John, who has the testimony of Jesus Christ. As remarkable as this is, Matthew 22 verse 30 being confirmed so remarkably, the focus should rather be on this:

Matthew 22:29 KJV

[29] Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.22.29.KJV

You see, this shows us where mankind fails in our error, not knowing the scriptures, not the power of GOD. You may say to yourself, “How can I know the scriptures?” Did you not go to school, did you not learn to study? What excuse will man have when the Judge comes in all His Glory? But, we were like those that were invited to the marriage supper, we had excuses all the time. I have a project, I have just bought a piece of ground. I have become a father (or mother) or I have homework. Mankind always has excuses. So, this chapter in Matthew has high relevance to all of us, do you see that? How can you go in, if not invited? How are you invited, unless someone invites you in? How will someone invite you, unless they are sent by the King? Many are called, but few are chosen. We saw now that the wedding garments are the righteous acts of the saints. So while you might be invited, you still have to put on the wedding garments, friends. Remember, this journey started in response to what we learned in Revelations 21, how we can know that we will enter into that city of GOD.

What is it to say, “Ignored Invitation?” Friends, shall we make the same error as the Jews did and not recognize the Messiah? Did Paul not warn that the grafted wild olive branch can be removed too? (Romans 11:17-24)

Shall we make the same errors and be discarded? Shall we discover what Christ meant by gnashing teeth? We were warned by Jesus Christ, just as Hosea warned his people.

Hosea 4:6 KJV

[6] My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

https://bible.com/bible/1/hos.4.6.KJV

Who can still say, “I do not have time, or I cannot come?” May GOD have mercy for us all.

Matthew 21:1-46 KJV

[1] And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples, [2] saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me. [3] And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them. [4] All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, [5] Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, Meek, and sitting upon an ass, And a colt the foal of an ass. [6] And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, [7] and brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. [8] And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. [9] And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. [10] And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? [11] And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee. [12] And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, [13] and said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. [14] And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them. [15] And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased, [16] and said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise? [17] And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there. [18] Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. [19] And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. [20] And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! [21] Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. [22] And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. [23] And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority? [24] And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things. [25] The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him? [26] But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet. [27] And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things. [28]  But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard. [29] He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. [30] And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. [31] Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. [32] For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him. [33]  Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country: [34] and when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. [35] And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. [36] Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. [37] But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. [38] But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. [39] And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him. [40] When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? [41] They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons. [42] Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, The same is become the head of the corner: This is the Lord’s doing, And it is marvellous in our eyes? [43]  Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. [44] And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. [45] And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them. [46] But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.

Note for 20250616

The House of Prayer

We have looked at the triumphant entry into Jerusalem in this series, and I Matthew we are fortunate that relevance is given to us. We now know that Christ entered into the city of Jerusalem just as foretold, on the day that was prophesied. Not? We know that the Jews missed this moment in repentance and preparation. In fact, though the moment has passed, many are still waiting for it, in a lack of knowledge. Now, much can be said about it, but also that it was of GOD. Was it not written too, that all nations would be blessed in the seed of Abraham?

Since we have looked at so much in this series, today I want to look at one verse, based on what we have already learned in our journey through the New Testament.

Matthew 21:13 KJV

[13] and said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.21.13.KJV

One question: what have you learned, where is the true House of GOD? Maybe another: Have you made your heart a den of thieves? (Selah)

Is there need for me to reestablish that those who love and obey the Father, that the Father and the Son will come and make their abode in us? And as the presence of the Lord our God filled the temple that Solomon built unto Him, have we not been filled by the presence of GOD by the indwelling of the Holy Ghost? What House of GOD has then become a den of thieves since the outpouring of the Holy Spirit? Are we not to pray, “Our Father which art in Heaven…” and yet, man is busy with all kinds of trades in his heart, deceiving one another for personal gain? Tell me, where is the house of prayer, when you can pray on the battlefield, the classroom or the bedroom? Is GOD not with us in every moment, and do we not make our appeals to GOD from the heart? What does mam lend his heart out to?

Was the Word of GOD not left to us so our hearts can be brought to a readiness to receive the LORD? And to you, who have received Jesus Christ into your heart, have the tables not been overturned in your heart and iniquity been driven out in the process of deliverance, have you not gone through a change of heart? Or, is money still everything, and do you still run after every opportunity to sin?

The Spiritual comes first and then the material catches up to it. Have you not seen it? You gave your heart in a private moment, and then proclaimed the Name of Jesus in public. But the change started in the Spirit. The unchanged hard is merely furnished in a facade of holiness, but it cannot attain the fruit of a changed life. It is like this fig tree without fruit. What is the passion of Jesus Christ?

As we head to the end of this Series of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, surely we should take stock of what we have learned. Where is the Kingdom of GOD, and is GOD a Spirit. These things, you should now know, or else, Go back to Part 1 of the series that started in John 1. It is my hope that even you might have enough time to go through it part by part before this trouble between Iran and Israel leads to Ezekiel 38. Aren’t they at war right now? What have we learned about the servant that says, “my Lord delay His coming?” For this series, we are heading now to the cross with Christ again, but before we get to that, first we will read of the end times again and the signs of it, how we may know the coming of that season. When I was urged in the Spirit to speed up and deal with entire chapters at a time, did the Spirit know that Israel would lead an assault against Iran at the end of last week?

Let the House of GOD become a House of Prayer again, my friends. Shall I ask it again? “Are you ready yet?” Look up, for your redemption draws near, and the preparation starts in the House of GOD, in prayer. Drive the world out of your heart, come out of her that do abominations in the sight of GOD. Fortify the walls and entrances of the House of Prayer. Be ready in mind and heart to receive the returning Groom.

And you know this comes from where Paul explains the nature of Love, what it is. The time has come to be prepared and ready, and is it not written that GOD is love? Where is the Spiritual growth to what you have been invited to, is it wise to neglect that? But, where do we put this right?

Matthew 20:1-34 KJV

[1]  For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard. [2] And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. [3] And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, [4] and said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way. [5] Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise. [6] And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? [7] They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive. [8] So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. [9] And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny. [10] But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny. [11] And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house, [12] saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day. [13] But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny? [14] Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee. [15] Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? [16] So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen. [17] And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them, [18] Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, [19] and shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again. [20] Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him. [21] And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom. [22] But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able. [23] And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father. [24] And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren. [25] But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. [26] But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; [27] and whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: [28] even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. [29] And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him. [30] And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. [31] And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. [32] And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? [33] They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. [34] So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

Fair Reward

This morning, as the world celebrates Father’s Day, we get a glimpse again into the Kingdom of Heaven by a parable spoken by Jesus Christ. The Son, testifying of the Father and the Kingdom of Him He loves. This fair Reward parable is unlike the “fairness” that the world portrays, and once more confirms that GOD our Father does not reward as the world rewards, but as it pleases Him. Jesus, the Son of GOD, from whom we will receive our reward, will do as He learned from His Father.

Shall we look at this parable again? Are you at peace, that he that gave his life to GOD in the last hour of his life, might receive the same reward as those who served GOD from their birth? Are you okay, that the sinner on the cross was saved, right before his execution, and yet got to be with Christ in paradise? It is in the hand of GOD to give as He pleases, and Christ is in His right hand. I dare to say that Jesus Christ is the right Hand of the Father in all the references we read thereof in the Word of GOD. Jesus will do according to the Will of His and our Father in Heaven, especially concerning the matters of the Heavenly Kingdom. The first shall be last and the last first. This concept is beautifully given to us by Christ here in this chapter.

Why do we then still get upset about this in our own lives, friends? Even the one who does not quite pull his weight at work gets paid, not? And to use the parable in this chapter, the one that does not come to work does not receive pay at all. Why then do we assume that we are entitled to more, at work or at home and among friends. Should we not be content with the provisions of GOD? Should we not make it work, without complaint and murmuring? Is there someone at work whom you think should be fired? What if GOD would have worked for the same reason, who would see the Kingdom of GOD?

Look at these two blind men at the end of the chapter, did they not follow after Christ when they were healed? And yet, there were those that told them to be quiet. Yes, by those that were following Christ already. Do we silence others because we deem them not worthy, an alcoholic, druggie or a riotous man? Is salvation not available to all?

Let the labourer come in, and do what he is called to do, and leave rewards to GOD our Father. Once more we are at this instance where we look at man putting his nose where it does not belong, and “as we judge so will we be judged” is that not written too?

Of course, this would not be complete if we do not look at the matter of James and John here. What reward was in their expectation? Or, as much, that which was communicated by their mother? Shows you the heart of a mother, right? Wanting what is best for her sons, but Christ explains it is not His to give, but that it is in His Father’s hand. Shall we look at where Christ said to call no one on earth father? For we all have the same Father, even He that made us.

What are your expectations? From those you have been given here and to whom you have been given by our Father in Heaven? What are your expectations of GOD? Will you become like these labourers if GOD should choose to honour someone above you? Can you be disappointed, even to the point where you may walk away from your salvation?

It is Father’s Day, so I will say what must be said, mankind needs an attitude adjustment, don’t we? We must get our act together, and get on with the purpose we were created for. Who but the Father knows that in full, and beside Him, who has He revealed that too. Did Christ not say, He speaks such things as He heard of His Father? Who are we listening to then?

Friends, what is a fair Reward? Did Christ not ask if they are ready to go though the same baptism He would be baptized with? And, that they would. He was not speaking of baptism by water friends, He was speaking about baptism by trials and tribulations, even unto death. All but John, of His disciples, had a martyr’s end here on earth. We saw that Christ spoke of the twelve crowns yesterday, set apart for them, but did Judas not fall away and give up his seat?

My friends, all that we can possibly offer GOD is contained in our free will. You know that right? A fair reward would see us all go to the second death. But, by the mercy of GOD and His Son, there is a reward waiting for us with Christ Jesus. That, like our redemption, is in the Father’s Hand. He will save whom He is pleased to save, and will reward as He please to reward, from what is His to give.

Selah, Shalom.

The House of Bread · Note for 20250613 – The Gospel of Jesus Christ – Part 138 – Mat 19 – Eye of the Needle

Matthew 19:1-30 KJV

[1] And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judæa beyond Jordan; [2] And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there. [3] The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? [4] And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, [5] and said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? [6] Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. [7] They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? [8] He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. [9] And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. [10] His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. [11] But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. [12] For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. [13] Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. [14] But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. [15] And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence. [16] And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? [17] And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. [18] He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, [19] Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. [20] The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? [21] Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. [22] But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. [23] Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. [24] And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. [25] When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? [26] But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. [27] Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? [28] And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. [29] And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. [30] But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.19.1-30.KJV

Note for 20250613

Matthew 19:25-26 KJV

[25] When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? [26] But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.19.25-26.KJV

You know, after today’s reading we might feel like the disciples, who can be saved then? I have been divorced, does that disqualify me? It was not given to me to be a eunuch. Besides, if becoming one flesh is the measure, I have divorced more than those who bore my ring. I cannot even measure up to this young, rich leader, for he kept the commandments since he was young. So yes, by this measure, what hope is there for me then? It is indeed impossible for man to save himself. Like the disciples, this left me with concern at first. I use myself as an example, because it is better for me to look at myself before I even think of looking at others, is that not true? But, Jesus gives His disciples hope, not just that nothing is impossible for GOD, but also this:

Matthew 19:28 KJV

[28] And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.19.28.KJV

But, regardless what mam would like to add to lift himself up, there is a count of thrones given in this instance. And the count is 12,  for 12 disciples. Besides, shall we go from sinner to want to sit at GOD’S Throne, that would be presumptuous. Besides, Christ does give an answer to us about the questions that may float in our carnal minds:

Matthew 19:29 KJV

[29] And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.19.29.KJV

Look at the nature of man, just now we were considering how it is even possible for us to be saved, and now we have envy to sit at the Throne of GOD. Is anything ever good enough for mankind? Shall we next place our eye on the Throne itself, like the enemy of GOD? No! We should rather look at matters like being righteous in the Law of GOD, not separating that which God has put together, and selling all we have to give to the poor, make eunuch of ourselves and follow Jesus Christ. Who can bear this, so now we are focused again, for we fall short of the Glory of GOD and His Son. We are not worthy. We are sinners, and if we are saved it is by the Grace of GOD alone. It is impossible for man, but all things are possible with GOD. And; is that not what GOD gave us, of His Holy Spirit that we might walk on in righteousness, but who is listening? Are we walking away sorrowful like this young rich man?

Just in case you are wondering, you cannot give away someone else’s goods for your honour. And what you have, is it yours alone, or are there others that depend on that besides yourself? How can you cut off the provisions for your spouse and children? Shall you give away your children’s inheritance? Then you are a slave for them too, not? Once more we are back at perspective; are you consuming what your children might inherit? Besides that, shall your children not walk serving the same GOD as you do, as was the case with Isaac and Jacob? What inheritance is beneficial to them, that which the moth and rust destroy, or that which is eternal? Have you left that to them?

Friends, I know I hit the nail hard, but it is so you may understand that salvation is in God’s hand, please Him. Do you remember what Jesus’ first response was when the young man called Him Good Master? (I will leave that for you to find again) Selah.

Should our focus not rather be on doing that which is right… and pleasing to GOD? Should we not rather maintain our marriages, remember our children and the legacy we leave behind for them? Friends, like many others, I have very little of earthly wealth to leave behind for my children, but they know how I love GOD. I live by the good advice Paul left behind for Timothy, his Spiritual son, and I will give that to you and may you have it as an inheritance.

1 Timothy 4:1-16 KJV

[1] Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; [2] speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; [3] forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. [4] For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: [5] for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. [6] If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. [7] But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. [8] For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. [9] This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. [10] For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. [11] These things command and teach. [12] Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. [13] Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. [14] Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. [15] Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. [16] Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

https://bible.com/bible/1/1ti.4.1-16.KJV

Be an example to others, so that they may see your progress. If you have low beginnings (like me) the work that GOD has done for you will be clear to all. What is it to bear testimony, and who shall profit from it. Is it not better to bring one to faith, or sustain the faith of one, than to save yourself? Jesus will hand out the crowns, as for me, this is what I know, that I have a work, here and now. I don’t deserve a crown, salvation is sufficient for me, but maybe one of you does. Receive what GOD has given to you.

Selah, Shalom.

Matthew 18:1-35 KJV

[1] At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? [2] And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, [3] and said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. [4] Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. [5] And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. [6] But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. [7]  Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! [8] Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. [9] And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire. [10] Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. [11] For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. [12] How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? [13] And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. [14] Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. [15]  Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. [16] But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. [17] And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. [18] Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. [19] Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. [20] For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. [21] Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? [22] Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. [23] Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. [24] And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. [25] But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. [26] The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. [27] Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. [28] But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. [29] And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. [30] And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. [31] So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. [32] Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: [33] shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? [34] And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. [35] So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Forgiveness

Today, the focus is on the entire chapter. It all works together with the concept of forgiveness and it ties to what Jesus said about becoming like little children, trusting in your Father in Heaven. We have looked at the close link between trust and faith, and as believers in Jesus Christ, and doers of what He instructed, we have become like little children. But, not us alone, also all those that rely on our Father in Heaven and believe in Jesus Christ, His Son. The famous, lost sheep parable is used to carry over the message, and forgiveness is portrayed by the parable of the wicked servant. This also traces back to Matthew 6,  to The Lord’s Prayer, and how we will be forgiven as we forgive.

At this time, it would be wise to consider your own conduct, as one forgiven by grace, for what Christ has done on the cross for us. Why keep a grudge in your heart? If you find one among you that does not find it in his heart to forgive, should you not consider him as one of the lost sheep of GOD? Remember, at some point you were lost too, like a slave in another land, oppressed on every side. You know the demands this world places on those who belong to it, how it gives an illusion of peace, but how troubled you can be at night. For you were lost, but now you are found. Why add to the burdens of your brother?

But, this chapter also instructs how to deal with those who will not repent, doesn’t it? It also speaks on how to deal with those members that impede your salvation. The initial contact is to be done privately, which most of us have neglected, going straight over to warning the congregation against the behavior. However, while it may serve to guard the congregation (99 sheep) what of the lost? Is gossip a righteous matter? It is a serious matter, because just as an arm or an eye can lead the whole body to perish, a little leaven can affect the whole lump of dough. False teachings can be a stumbling block in the way of one of these little ones Christ sat down in the midst of His disciples. Understand? So, just as the arm or leg, a member of the congregation that remains unrepentant can affect the entire body, just as we have seen with all the false doctrine that is active in our churches. We should never say, “I don’t care.” This is our family, our brethren for eternity, who should be closer to us than a blood relative.

With great care we should deal with the matter of one that causes discord amongst the congregation, and while giving the opportunity to repent, we should not leave one that harms others amongst us. Paul had an incident in Corinth that speaks to this matter and he wrote on that, and left us a verse that is hard for many to understand or receive.

1 Corinthians 5:1-5 KJV

[1] It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife. [2] And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. [3] For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, [4] in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, [5] to deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

https://bible.com/bible/1/1co.5.1-5.KJV

Friends, even the world recognizes the crime of harbouring a criminal, even those that are wicked can see the harm in that. In Paul’s case here, it was a son that uncovered the nakedness of his father. (Remember, the wife’s nakedness belongs to the husband and vice versa.) So, it was a major transgression of the Law, and as it appears here, the congregation was standing in some protection of the son. Sometimes, we need to get out of the way, so GOD can work His wonder with a person to bring their soul into redemption. If one remains unrepentant, he does not find the error or the consequence of his deeds, delaying his moment or even withholding his moment of repentance.

Now, to lose an arm, it is flesh, it will remain in the dust when the soul is redeemed, but a member of the church must be troubled in the flesh to steer him to repentance. We all know how GOD came to our rescue when we were in great trouble, don’t we? We cried out from our disparity and the LORD saved us. Shall we withhold that moment from another? With caution I state it like this: The Light of Jesus Christ is often seen best out of a place of darkness. See to it that you do not cast someone out before consulting the congregation, approach not the congregation, before first taking one with you as a witness to urge your brother to repent of his wicked way. Christ makes the method quite clear here in this chapter.

Now, today, many are dealing with a greater measure of this. Some find themselves in congregations that are well leavened already, having adopted the false doctrines of men. What to do in such a case? Much the same. You go to the shepherd of that congregation, if he will not hear you, then you take a witness. Failing you bring the matter to another congregation, and if still unrepentant and uncorrected, you remove yourself from such a congregation and join another that speaks the Truth of Christ Jesus, less that leaven affect you too, and you are lost with them, forever. Do not think that GOD will not move against the house that promotes abominations. And if no pure congregation can be found, you go to your inner closet to plead with GOD.

There are many of you that have struggled with this of late. Know this; the great falling away is underway. If a congregation can promote that which GOD hates, then they have fallen away. Give that congregation to the Lord to deal with. To separate the sheep from the goats. Understand?

The House of Bread · Note for 20250611 – The Gospel of Jesus Christ – Part 136 – Mat 17 – Free Children

Matthew 17:1-27 KJV

[1] And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, [2] and was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. [3] And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. [4] Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. [5] While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. [6] And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. [7] And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. [8] And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only. [9] And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead. [10] And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? [11] And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. [12] But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. [13] Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist. [14] And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, [15] Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. [16] And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. [17] Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. [18] And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. [19] Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? [20] And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. [21] Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. [22] And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: [23] and they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry. [24] And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? [25] He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? [26] Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. [27] Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.17.1-27.KJV

Note for 20250611

So much was said in this chapter, now we have looked at the mount of transfiguration before, when Moses and Elijah came to Christ and He shone in all His Glory. Even of how GOD declared Jesus as His Son, and said to those in hearing (also to us) “hear Him.”

On the healing of this boy, I will only share this with you, that we read here of faith, once more the CJB has it as Trust. Which really challenges many on the concept of faith itself, that it speaks of trust in God.

But a matter that does not get as much attention as it should, is the matter of paying tribute, or tax as we know it today. I want to bring it to you again, and look at that in a little more detail. Especially because of the worldly saying, “Two things you can be certain of is death and taxes.”

Matthew 17:25-27 KJV

[25] He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? [26] Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. [27] Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.17.25-27.KJV

So, should we pay our tributes? And the answer is yes, to prevent offense. But, once more there is a clear division made, between the children and the strangers. I want to take you to the prayer of Jesus Christ, as found in John 17.

John 17:14-16 KJV

[14] I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. [15] I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. [16] They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.17.14-16.KJV

There are other verses, but I wanted you to hear how Jesus prayed to our Father in Heaven regarding us who have received the Word and joined Him. We are sojourners in this world, strangers in it. We are children of another Kingdom, just as Jesus proclaimed in His trial before Pilate. Do you remember the note on, “Render unto Caesar?” Let me remind you who you are. (a short extract)

Matthew 5:3-10 KJV

[3]  Blessed are the poor in spirit: for their’s is the kingdom of heaven. [4]  Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. [5]  Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. [6]  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. [7]  Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. [8]  Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. [9]  Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. [10]  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for their’s is the kingdom of heaven.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.5.3-10.KJV

Of course, it is better to brush up on your knowledge of Matthew 5, especially with Christ’s statement here, that the Children are free. You must see taxes or tribute as a form of toll fee to use or stay in a place in which you are a stranger at this time. But the lesson is not on the taxes, but Whose Children you are. It is to learn what Christ prayed to His (and our) Father in Heaven.

For now, this world is still in the grip of the prince of this world, he will be bound for a thousand years, before he is cast into the lake of fire. Christ is clear, the meek will inherit the Earth. Now, I am not speaking of riches as the world presents, but as GOD gives, but just look at what I found in Job, or more aptly, what GOD has led me to.

Job 27:16-19 KJV

[16] Though he heap up silver as the dust, And prepare raiment as the clay; [17] He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, And the innocent shall divide the silver. [18] He buildeth his house as a moth, And as a booth that the keeper maketh. [19] The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: He openeth his eyes, and he is not.

https://bible.com/bible/1/job.27.16-19.KJV

I want to ask you a question. When our King comes, and drives out this robber of mankind, to who will the Earth belong then? Who will be the children of that Kingdom and rule and reign with Christ, here on Earth for a thousand years, and an eternity with Him in Heaven? Who will be sojourners then? I don’t want you to be ignorant regarding these things, friends. Does GOD change? Whose Law was given to Israel, that of Moses or GOD’S Law? What happens then, when Grace is done? When the prince of this World is bound? Shall “an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth” return?

1 Corinthians 6:3 KJV

[3] Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

https://bible.com/bible/1/1co.6.3.KJV

Now I ask you, who carries the witness against this world? Who has been persecuted and gone through the trials? Who are the witnesses for that trial to come? Why is the first resurrection set before the millennium and the second after the final battle between good and evil at the end? Yes! Hear this:

John 5:28-29 KJV

[28] Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, [29] and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.5.28-29.KJV

What is awaiting us?

Matthew 16:1-28 KJV

[1] The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. [2] He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. [3] And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? [4] A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed. [5] And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread. [6] Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. [7] And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread. [8] Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? [9] Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? [10] Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? [11] How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? [12] Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. [13] When Jesus came into the coasts of Cæsarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? [14] And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. [15] He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? [16] And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. [17] And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. [18] And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. [19] And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. [20] Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ. [21] From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. [22] Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. [23] But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. [24] Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. [25] For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. [26] For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? [27] For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. [28] Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.16.1-28.KJV

Note for 20250610

Perspective

To focus on the message for today, I want to bring one of these versus to you from the Complete Jewish Bible for perspective:

Mattityahu (Mat) 16:23 CJB

[23] But Yeshua turned his back on Kefa, saying, “Get behind me, Satan! You are an obstacle in my path, because your thinking is from a human perspective, not from God’s perspective!”

https://bible.com/bible/1275/mat.16.23.CJB

Do I see things from my human perspective, or do I consider GOD’S perspective? You see, the understanding at that time from the perspective of the Prophets was that Christ would establish His Kingdom on Earth when He comes. Peter (Kefa/Rock or Pebble) had this understanding, for He declared that He believed Jesus was the Messiah and the Son of the Living GOD. At the time, it would have been far from their mind that the Messiah would be hung on a cross, even though the scriptures foretold it.

Isaiah 53:5-9 KJV

[5] But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. [6] All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. [7] He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. [8] He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. [9] And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.53.5.KJV

But, we can’t stop there, because you will understand Peter’s perspective from the next verse, that, and his love for Christ.

Isaiah 53:10-11 KJV

[10] Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. [11] He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.53.10-11.KJV

Now, I ask again, are we seeing things from GOD’S perspective or mankind’s. Even language can play a role. Look, of the leaven of the Pharisees, here it is written that Christ said, “ye of little faith,” but let me give you the verse from the CJB again.

Mattityahu (Mat) 16:8 CJB

[8] But Yeshua, aware of this, said, “Such little trust you have! Why are you talking with each other about not having bread?

https://bible.com/bible/1275/mat.16.8.CJB

In quoting from the CJB, I do not mean that you should read from it, (it can be quite hard to understand at times) but reference might help. No, I am merely showing you that there is another perspective, and that just among men, what still of comparing our perspective to that of GOD? For the human perspective, Christ said, Get behind me Satan; so what might the human perspective be? Is it not written too, “lean not unto your own understanding?” This is the parallax error I have spoken about so often.

“Of little trust” in this instance makes much more sense, though it does not exclude “little faith,” understand?

They did not expect that Jesus would have to die for our sin, even though the Prophets said as much. But, we look at it in hindsight. No what, of what is and is to come might we be looking at with such a parallax error? What about this?

Matthew 16:28 KJV

[28] Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.16.28.KJV

What shall we lack in knowledge and understanding, then or even now? Oh, ye of little faith and trust. Is that something we might be able to hear if we heard correctly? Is Christ Jesus not at the right hand of the Almighty at this moment? What victory can Satan have over us at the Throne of GOD at this very moment? If he comes before GOD for permission to come against us, is Christ not right there?

1 John 2:1 KJV

[1] My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

https://bible.com/bible/1/1jn.2.1.KJV

John understood this and wrote about it.

Perspective! How often do we lack perspective? Christ, the Atonement for the repenting sinner is at the Throne of GOD. But, when might he turn to us, as he did to Peter and say, “Get behind Me Satan, for you are a stumbling block?” Has the Father and the Son not come to make their abode in us, by the Holy Spirit?

John 14:23-24 KJV

[23] Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. [24] He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.14.23-24.KJV

How much do we lack in perspective?

Matthew 16:28 KJV

[28] Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.16.28.KJV

Do we not hear by the Spirit of GOD that was poured out on us. Did we not recently celebrate Pentecost? How does the Father and the Son sup with us? How does Jesus partake from the wine with us? And all of a sudden, so much of what Christ said has more meaning now, not?

Luke 17:21 KJV

[21] neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

https://bible.com/bible/1/luk.17.21.KJV

Shall I quote too, how Christ said that He must go so another Comforter may come? But, I will, because it might help with perspective:

John 16:7-11 KJV

[7] Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. [8] And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: [9] of sin, because they believe not on me; [10] of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; [11] of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.16.7-11.KJV

What might this mean to you, viewed from man’s perspective or GOD’S? Jesus did say, He gives His peace to us, not as the world gives, so gives He to us. Must I quote that too? Perspective, it is an important matter. Viewed from the kingdoms of men, or the Kingdom of GOD that is near, even at hand.

Selah, Shalom.
