The House of Bread · Note for 20250428 – The Gospel of Jesus Christ – Part 99 – Luke 11 – The Eye of Men

Luke 11:14-36 KJV

[14] And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered. [15] But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils. [16] And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven. [17] But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against an house falleth. [18] If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub. [19] And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges. [20] But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. [21] When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: [22] but when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. [23] He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth. [24] When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. [25] And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. [26] Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. [27] And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. [28] But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. [29] And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet. [30] For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation. [31] The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. [32] The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here. [33]  No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light. [34] The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. [35]  Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. [36] If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

The Eye of Man

What an evil generation lived in the time of Christ? Look how Jesus compares them to Nineveh and the Queen of the South, and yet, I think, even they would blush if they had to see this generation that we live amongst.

The eye is the light of the body, as Jesus said here, and I wonder how much light is left in mankind? I will say it, do we not stare into dark mirrors all day long? The name they chose for it still intrigues me, “tell-a-vision,” and now we each have our own portable ones. How would you escape that? Can a person still function without the inventions of man today?

Now, I know you think I am going to speak to you about giving up television and mobile phones, but I am not. I can’t say anything good about it, just that; what happens when you bring light to darkness? Does the darkness not flee? I am Going to give you a few scriptures:

Matthew 5:14-16 KJV

[14] Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. [15] Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. [16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.5.14-16.KJV

John 1:4-5 KJV

[4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men. [5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.1.4-5.KJV

John 8:12 KJV

[12] Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.8.12.KJV

1 John 1:5-10 KJV

[5] This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. [6] If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: [7] but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. [8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

https://bible.com/bible/1/1jn.1.5-10.KJV

Ephesians 5:6-12 KJV

[6] Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. [7] Be not ye therefore partakers with them. [8] For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: [9] (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) [10] proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. [11] And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. [12] For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

https://bible.com/bible/1/eph.5.6-12.KJV

John 3:19 KJV

[19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.3.19.KJV

You have just experienced a download of truth. What is the net result of mankind then, that they choose darkness instead of the Light of Christ? Darkness cannot remain, once light comes in. But, in the absence of light, darkness overpowers all. Just a little light can be seen from far in darkness, ask any soldier or guard if it is wise to smoke on nightwatch.

We read of these that came against Jesus Christ, and we do indeed judge them, for what they have done to our Lord and Saviour, and yet, without that, we would not have salvation available to us today.

The message that I would like to leave with you today is this: Bring life into darkness. Place the candle on the mantle, let the city shine forth on the hill. For the light of men is Jesus Christ, we have just read it. What is this here, in your hand, on your wall? Did light not come into darkness for you to see? While your TV is off, or the screen is dimmed on your phone, it remains like a black mirror. But, when light comes in, then you can see, because darkness is left from it. Now, take this to a Spiritual understanding, friends. It is not so much of “that you watch” as much as “what you watch.” Bring the Light of Jesus Christ to every dark corner of the world, so it may be seen as it is, for what it is. Let not darkness consume you, but be you the light that consumes the darkness until there is only light left.

Selah, Shalom.

Psalm 1:1-6 KJV

[1] Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. [2] But his delight is in the law of the LORD; And in his law doth he meditate day and night. [3] And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That bringeth forth his fruit in his season; His leaf also shall not wither; And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. [4] The ungodly are not so: But are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. [5] Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. [6] For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Luke 11:1-13 KJV

[1] And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. [2] And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. [3] Give us day by day our daily bread. [4] And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. [5] And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; [6] for a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? [7] And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. [8] I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth. [9] And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. [10] For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. [11] If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? [12] Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? [13] If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

https://bible.com/bible/1/luk.11.1-13.KJV

Note for 20250427

I have looked forward to the opportunity to speak to you about the Lord’s Prayer. Those that listen to the recordings will know, I open every recording with the Lord’s prayer, just as I open each day with it. Now, most of us were taught the manner in which it is written in Matthew, so Luke’s account might feel a little strange.

Matthew 6:9-13 KJV

[9] After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. [10] Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. [11] Give us this day our daily bread. [12] And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. [13] And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.6.9-13.KJV

Now in Matthew the account goes into the forgiveness, if we do not forgive, then we will not be forgiven, but here in Luke it goes from there into this Teaching of how we give good things to our children, and that GOD will “outdo us” to put it in simple words. Note though, what it specified here in verse 13.

Luke 11:13 KJV

[13] If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

https://bible.com/bible/1/luk.11.13.KJV

Now, we have in times past looked at what “holy” means as we compared it also to the words Nazarite, which means set apart. So is GOD Holy, for He is set apart from wickedness. And the Holy Spirit, is the Spirit set apart for GOD, since our breath comes from GOD (Genesis 2:7) Now how does this happen, well it is the Lord’s prayer that is answered in our lives.

Look, Thy Kingdom come…

Luke 17:21 KJV

[21] neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

https://bible.com/bible/1/luk.17.21.KJV

1 John 4:1 KJV

[1] Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

https://bible.com/bible/1/1jn.4.1.KJV

Now, for the Lord’s Kingdom to come, His will needs to become senior in our lives. That means, instead of doing it our way, we do it in the LORD’S way, ie. As the Word of GOD says it should be done. For the will of GOD is of Heaven, and our will here of the world. Do you understand? I do not want to risk a misunderstanding because of an assumption that we all understand this in the same way. That means, we lay our own will, in thought and heart, down before the Throne of GOD and take up His will, instead of our own. As much, we lay down our crown to rule over our own lives, and accept GOD’S reign over us, especially in what we do and say.

Now, man cannot attain this by himself, and for this purpose is the Spirit of GOD poured out on us. Look what the LORD said to Jeremiah:

Jeremiah 1:12 KJV

[12] Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

https://bible.com/bible/1/jer.1.12.KJV

Do you understand to focus on what you ask for, you will receive and then the Highlight in verse 13, that He will give the Holy Spirit. You see, if we are within the will of GOD, if we walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh, the LORD (in us) will work in us towards upholding the Word of GOD. Sadly, this does mean that when we sin that we have walked away from Him, but as soon as we repent, He is like the merciful Father Christ portrayed for us in the Parable of the Lost Son.

I was hoping that I would get through the entire Lord’s Prayer today, but now, other responsibilities I have are already starting to draw very near. So the close of the prayer is then also a reaffirmation that the Kingdom is our Father’s so is the strength (because we do not overcome in our own strength but His) and the glory, for how can we take glory for what GOD has done. We are sinners, but the good that comes from us is of GOD. Without it, we have become like animals and sinners, who cannot repent. The opening of the prayer and the closing, this speaks in much the same way of the Glory of GOD.

I like the version in Luke for the daily Bread, “day by day” as our reliance on GOD stretches over all the days of our lives, as He sustains the breath in us, one by one. And here in Luke, we ask for forgiveness, because we forgive one another, placing it that it is implemented already. I prefer the ending in Matthew over the account in Luke, but luckily we have both, hey?

If it seems a little rushed here to the end, it is because it somewhat is. As I said, I have to get on to other things that require me, still for the Word and service to GOD.

May the LORD Bless and Keep you. And to those who listen to recording later, it won’t be rushed then. You can find this note later on www.thehouseofbread.co.za with all the links, video and audio.

[37] And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; [38] saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. Luke 10:25-42 KJV

[25] And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? [26] He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? [27] And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. [28] And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. [29] But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? [30] And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. [31] And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. [32] And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. [33] But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, [34] and went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. [35] And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. [36] Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? [37] And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.  [38] Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. [39] And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. [40] But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. [41] And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: [42] but one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Note for 20250425

This morning, a fellow believer sent me this:

“Morning sir. I was called awake this morning. And In my reading I found something interesting well at least to me me if consider things

1 Chronicles 3:4 KJV

[4] These six were born unto him in Hebron; and there he reigned seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years.

https://bible.com/bible/1/1ch.3.4.KJV

How old was Jesus when He went to the cross? The 7 and 6 months I feel like speaks to something to I just can’t see where it’s pointing to”

Now, you might think, what has this to do with the parable of the Good Samaritan? Well, the verse itself, in the plain speak of it, maybe not so much, but Phillip’s question might lean closer to it. Remember, that parables were used so the Spirit may reveal the truth to us, but that the truth does not fall into the wicked, that they should believe. This too is a lesson unto itself (and often missed.)

So, what is the obvious here, yes Jesus is counted 33 years old when He went to the cross around 30CE. (There is more to just this too.) But, what is the sevens and the sixes in symbology of. Well, 6 is the number of man, just like there were six steps up to the throne of Solomon’s throne and man was created on the 6 days out of the dust of the earth. The 7, of course, is counted to the seven fold Spirit of GOD, as we read in the book of Revelation. It speaks to the Sabbath day, and the rest of GOD. Surely there are no need for me to state references to it. Revelation 19:10 speaks of the testimony of Jesus Christ being the Spirit of Prophecy, and we know that Christ fulfilled the Law and the Prophets. The ministry of Christ was about 3 and a half years or 42 months. Now, of course, much can be said of all this, but how does this fit into the message today about the Good Samaritan, and what we have learned from the account of Martha and Mary?

Now let us look at the way of man, as it is resembled by the “6” today. Was it neighbourly of Mary to leave Martha to serve alone? Was it neighbourly of Martha to complain about Mary to Christ? But, Christ speaks for Mary, that what she chose, “namely the Word of GOD” outweighs the cares in this world. And, the Word of GOD, is what prophecy is about, making the will of GOD known to man. The silent part in this which can only come by the Holy Spirit of GOD, is that Jesus stepped up in defense of her that was being accused, an attack when you bring it in comparison to the parable, showing Christ then actively involved in the defence of man as he took pity on her that was being accused. We see the same, when the woman caught in adultery is presented to Christ in a judgment of what should be done to her, and we know that ends in a forgiveness too.

Now, you would surely think that the priest and the Levite would surely have helped the injured man, but he was near dead, and the dead was considered unclean. So, they would have to go through the cleansing procedure before they would be permitted into the temple again. But, the Good Samaritan not only came near the man, he bound his wounds and took him to an inn with him, and paid the full price for the injured to be taken care of. The Good Samaritan is an example of what Christ has done on the cross for us, saving us from the debt of sin, which is death.

Oh, all of these are full of 7’s and 6’s, the way of man versus the way of GOD. Jesus said that He does nothing except that which He sees the Father do. GOD created man in His own image, and has been acting in a way of at least neighbourly love towards man. Does He not permit it to rain on both the righteous and the wicked? Has He not given man all the time in the world to come to repentance of their sin? But, the ultimate show of that love comes to us when Christ takes our burdens upon Himself, and further leaves the Spirit of GOD with those who accepted His “help.” We were, as to say, left for dead by the side of the road as victims of the enemies of GOD. Jesus sends the Holy Spirit to us, to care for us, just as the Good Samaritan hands the care of this man to the Innkeeper, until he returns. The similarities are without end, and so we can see the Good Samaritan as the Son of GOD, that will (and have) settle all the debts that we have. By His Stripes, we are Healed and by His death we can live. That is the Kingdom of GOD, that the Son of GOD would be neighbourly to us, even bringing us so close to Him, that we can become the sons of GOD.

There is much in the life of King David that points to Christ, even in this, that he loved his enemy, King Saul, and refused to take his life when it was in his hand. These numbers here in 1 Chronicles 3:4 can be seen as “a hat tip” to the Messiah once more.

But, man is reluctant of such love for one another. No, like the priest and the levite, we pass on the far side of the road when someone is in trouble, even withholding the Word of GOD from many, in a “no care” attitude. Aren’t we the Body of Jesus Christ, would Christ leave someone stranded? GOD did not forget us, how can we then forget one another?

Here we look at Martha and Mary again, and Christ indicates that Mary chose well. She chose the one thing that is needful, that being, Jesus Christ the Word of GOD. If we then serve, let us serve without complaint and accusation, but the Word of GOD remains more needful than anything else we can serve. Yet, should we not suffer others to go hungry or thirsty if it is in our hand to help. But, then serve also that which is needful. Shall I repeat Matthew 25:40 again, or is it known by now? I will leave it for you to go read on your own again.

There is so much more that I could share with you on this, but I am reminded of portions, less we become like gluttons and choke on what we receive because of volume. This then both the note of the day, and the answer to the question I was asked. I pray that it is enough for you today. I will bring more, when I return.

Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ, for all that You have done for us. Blessed be the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Thy will be done. Amen.

The House of Bread · Note for 20250424 – The Gospel of Jesus Christ – Part 96 – Luke 10 – Sent

Luke 10:1-24 KJV

[1] After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. [2] Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. [3] Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. [4] Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. [5] And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. [6] And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again. [7] And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. [8] And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: [9] and heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. [10] But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, [11] Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. [12] But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city. [13] Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. [14] But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you. [15] And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell. [16] He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.  [17] And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. [18] And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. [19] Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. [20] Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.  [21] In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. [22] All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him. [23] And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: [24] for I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Note for 20250424

I have opted this morning to give you the better part of this sending forth of the 70 disciples, but also of their return, and the profit of the result, in which they could take joy. Not so favorable is it for those cities where Christ performed all these miracles and He compares it to the distraction in the past, that of Sodom and then also looking forward, for the prophecies against Tyre and Sidon. You have heard these words with me, what will you take with you?

What is it to be sent? What is the purpose of being sent, but to drive our unclean spirits and heal those who are unwell if they will receive us. Have you noticed how Christ said not to greet any on the way, to go into the house that will receive you, and there to eat whatsoever they shall set before you, because the labourer is due his wage.

We sometimes consider that we should be beggars, when in truth, all that we need will be provided. More so, a bit of an increase of knowledge is given here, that whosoever receives us, receives Christ Jesus; and whosoever receives Christ, receives Him who sent Christ, which our Loving Father in Heaven. And what is the profit to us? That our Names be written up in Heaven.

Are we then sent like the twelve or like the seventy? Take a moment to think about it if you can. How are we sent? How where both the 12 and the 70 sent, what is common between the two instructions. I tell you this, that it is that Christ sent with instruction. Each group sent guided by the Word of GOD, Jesus Christ. So too can we look at how Paul was sent, even by the appearance of the Angel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ appearing to him on the road to Damascus, where his intent was to take captive the believers and instead, he became a comfort to them, by what Christ instructed him to do, to minister unto the gentiles. Yes, it is written very specifically so you too may know who the Angel of someone is, just as it was considered that it was Peter’s angel standing at the gate, when an Angel freed him of his chains in prison. Now, I do not include all the scripture chapters and verses today, but you are to try the spirits if they be of GOD. Search it out.

On the day of hearing this, even in the reading if it; know that many are still sent, day by day. They are sent as Christ sent these, by instruction of the Lord Himself. But, are they heard? Look at the joy of the Lord in the text today, that GOD revealed these things to common folk. They did not have a scholarship, they were nit trained in some university. No! Their qualification is that they were chosen and sent, then obeyed the Word of the Lord. How many then are sent of themselves, maybe even because they would not hear the Lord, but rather did what they themselves preferred? This is a matter between man and God, who am I to judge what GOD has instructed a man to do? After all, GOD sent Hosea to marry a prostitute and Jeremiah to bury his underwear by the river Euphrates. Shall we then ignore how GOD sent a deceiving spirit to King Ahab, to draw him into war, or permitted Satan to go against Job? How many times have we given glory to some devil, for a thing that may have come from GOD?

Do you remember how Samuel was called in the middle of the night, first thinking that it was Eli calling? While Eli was condemned by the matter of his sons, still he had the good sense to instruct Samuel to say, “Speak LORD, your servant listens.” How soon may we then mistake a call in the night as some reverberation of a dream, or the call of some stranger at night? Maybe, indeed, the calling of the LORD is as a calling of a stranger, because the LORD is still a stranger to them, but am I the judge of men? Is the calling of the LORD the same to all? Is it not the LORD that brought Nebuchadnezzar against Jerusalem? And he was a heathen. What of Pharaoh’s heart, was it not GOD that hardened his heart for the purposes of GOD? How do we then pray, “Thy will be done?” Do we place limitations on what GOD may do? GOD permitted the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple, more than one time; and yet, He spared the Ninevites. The difference was, Nineveh repented, and Israel didn’t. As the LORD has sent His Angel to deliver Israel many times, He also sent His Angel to destroy. All depends on who was on the receiving end. Remember how Jonah waited to see the destruction of Nineveh that didn’t come at that time?

Now, what is written about our time? How does the world fare today in matters of righteousness? May the LORD send His Angels soon? Shall He give rise to another destroyer to come against the sons of mankind? Shall He send fires and floods? And still the Words deep into the Book of Revelation reverberate in my core, “and they repented not…”

Who shall go, if not sent? Who is sent but him that hears? Are you sent this day, or has one been sent to you? I am sent, but so too do I often receive from another that was sent to me. As I was sent, so I go, even writing here to you. Whom the LORD has sent, He has ordained, whether it be for a salvation or a rebuke. The LORD corrects those He lives, but permits the wicked to walk on in their wickedness unto death. Are you sent, or are you to receive one knocking at the door? Are you to receive him whom GOD has sent? His Sheep knows His voice, and they will not follow another. Is that not written too? Whether we are sent or called to receive another, know that the LORD determines that. As He sent one by one way, and to return another way without sojourning, so He sent these to enter into the house that would receive them.

How will you know, if you can’t hear? To him who has an ear to hear, let him hear. Do you have an ear to hear, then hear! It is the LORD that sends. He sends as He pleases, for His own purpose. What is left to man is to receive and hear. To obey the LORD your God in His instruction, and that comes by way of the Spirit of the Most High GOD. So have many chosen a career, without the consultation of GOD. They have taken wives and had children, without the consultation of GOD. They did as they pleased, and said it was of GOD. Remember how it is written, what GOD has put together, let no man separate? Did GOD bring it together or the lusts of the flesh? Do you speak by instruction of the LORD, or because you are unable to hear? On both counts let me give you Romans 8:1 and 28 for a comfort by Paul.

Romans 8:1, 28 KJV

[1]  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

[28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

https://bible.com/bible/1/rom.8.1-28.KJV

May all of that, and that between these verses bring you Comfort in this time. But, note specifically to whom it applies, and see then, to whom it does not. Is there condemnation for those that are not in Christ and walk after the flesh? Does all work together for good for all?

For too long, man has received the Words of devils. Deceived and misguided in ways of destruction for they would not hear of GOD, so another was sent to them. Soothsayers, those who speak words as sweet as honey and had as a result consumption of the things of this world spoken for the destruction of the wicked.

2 Thessalonians 2:8-12 KJV

[8] And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: [9] even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, [10] and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. [11] And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: [12] that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

https://bible.com/bible/1/2th.2.8-12.KJV

The question for each of us today is this: can we receive the Truth from GOD, or do we have pleasures in unrighteousness? Let him who has an ear to hear hear what the Spirit of GOD is saying. And by that, I truly do not mean that you should hear me, but as in all things…

1 John 4:1-4 KJV

[1] Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. [2] Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: [3] and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. [4] Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

1 Corinthians 3:6-9 KJV

[6] I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. [7] So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. [8] Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. [9] For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.

The House of Bread · Note for 20250423 – The Gospel of Jesus Christ – Part 95 – Luke 9 – No Ordinary Day

Luke 9:28-62 KJV

[28] And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray. [29] And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering. [30] And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias: [31] who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem. [32] But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him. [33] And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said. [34] While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud. [35] And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. [36] And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen. [37] And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him. [38] And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child. [39] And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth from him. [40] And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not. [41] And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither. [42] And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.  [43] And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples, [44] Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men. [45] But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying. [46] Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest. [47] And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him, [48] and said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great. [49] And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us. [50] And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.  [51] And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, [52] and sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him. [53] And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. [54] And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? [55] But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. [56] For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.  [57] And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. [58] And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. [59] And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. [60] Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. [61] And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. [62] And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

No Ordinary Day

If I could and if it was possible, I would have asked you reading and hearing, to write to me on what you received for this day. Moreso even, what you received by the Spirit in this extended text that we have been given today. But, I can’t and it would not be fitting for me to receive it. Especially on this day, for it is no ordinary day. This day will present itself to every person, it will speak of itself. While many may perceive it as an ordinary day, know that it is not. Neither, can I tell you what it is, for it will present itself to me too, even disputing my words here seems even to me as the writing of an unwell person. It is as it must be.

I spoke of the Mount of Transfiguration yesterday in the Voice Note, and even gave you an image on the cover of the cave at Mount Hermon. I have spoken before about this meeting that took place on the mount, and how it defies logic and time, even how GOD Almighty commanded that Jesus is His Son, and to hear Him. Was such a command given to the disciples alone, or may it have been Moses and Elijah too? Is Jesus Christ the Word of GOD who spoke to them? What do we know of such things, it is above our understanding. Look, even the disciples did not speak of it at that time. It was no ordinary day then either, but most significant as from this time, Jesus is insistent to go up to Jerusalem. Might Christ be insistent on going to Jerusalem today too, or might another appear first in a false likeness of Him?

As I woke today, I heard clearly, “No Ordinary Day.” Now, the matter is still hidden from me, but these Words must be said. I repeat it over and over again, so no one will be mistaken, this is not an ordinary day, neither will those be to come. I was met in my rising this morning with a cloudbreak scenario. Even before my eyes were open, the message was clear on the title of today.

Among you are those that have been called to stand in a specific place, and you say, “Why would GOD need me?” could Christ find a place to go in on His journey to Jerusalem, dit his disciples not ask if they should call fire from heaven? How does Christ make visitation with us at this time, is it not by the Spirit, knocking at the door of our hearts? Who shall let Him in? Shall I ask of the LORD if I should call down fire from Heaven; thunder and lightning, fire and brimstone? This is an extraordinary day, who  but GOD knows what is set apart for each of us. Maybe, this is not that day we have been warned about, but surely the season has been marked, not? And you will come to see those things you thought you never would, some hoping for it, others praying against it. It is as a revelation, but my reminder to you is this:

Luke 17:20-21 KJV

[20] And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: [21] neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

https://bible.com/bible/1/luk.17.20-21.KJV

You would do well to remember this in the days to come upon mankind from here on out. As suddenly as the rain came, and suddenly it abbaded again. Do you think mam noticed the change in season, or will they remain like those that were in the days of Noah? And I remember how the Isrealites passed through on dry ground just before the LORD destroyed those that were in pursuit of them. Our GOD is an Awesome GOD, He reigns from Heaven above…

While these words seem foreign now, it won’t be foreign for long. And the Spirit-filled said Amen. THE SEASON HAS COME.

Selah, Shalom: for so too has the time come to which each of us were called. Remember the transfiguration of Christ upon the mount.

Shalom

Verse of The Day

From the YouVersion Bible App (Expanded from verse 14)

Romans 3:21-28 KJV

[21] But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; [22] even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: [23] for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; [24] being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: [25] whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; [26] to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. [27] Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. [28] Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Luke 9:10-27 KJV

[10] And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida. [11] And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing. [12] And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place. [13] But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people. [14] For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company. [15] And they did so, and made them all sit down. [16] Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. [17] And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.  [18] And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am? [19] They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again. [20] He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God. [21] And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing; [22] saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day. [23] And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. [24] For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. [25] For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away? [26] For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels. [27] But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

https://bible.com/bible/1/luk.9.10-27.KJV

Note for 20250422

I still remember how I was amazed at the increase of Bread and Fish, when I was a child. And as the years went by, how I learned of the significance of how 5000 were fed by 5 loaves of Bread and 2 fishes, how the bread was more than the fish and how it made up 7 items that had 12 baskets of fragments left over. All the fives, and sevens and twelves, and how it relayed into Israel, the Church and the Grace of GOD. These sermons have been preached and they have been heard.

Later still, I learned of He that came from Bethlehem, came to the area of Bethsaida, being in name, The House of Bread coming to the House of Fish. That Christ is more than the bread that was given to feed the 5000, for He fed to His 12 disciples, more than just that which filled their tummies, but fed them from the Bread of Life, that sustains the soul of mankind.

Note then later when Jesus asked His disciples, who does the people say I am, and who do you say I am, that the answer differs, and may it be because of what was eaten both in bread and in Word. The Bread of Life came from the House of Bread from the line of David. All this is still mostly knowledge based, what then of this requirement?

Luke 9:22 KJV

[22] saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

https://bible.com/bible/1/luk.9.22.KJV

Is this not what we have just celebrated in memorial of what Christ has done for us? You see, from the increase of Bread and fish at Bethsaida, only some 5000 ate, but how many have eaten the passover since, because of what is said here in verse 22? Why was there a need that Christ had to die on the cross, after being rejected by the elite of Judea? Would you believe me if I say to you that it would require a book to share just the significance of that alone? But maybe, with the Help of the Comforter, I can share just enough to give you some hope.

Remember how many times we have looked at and have heard that Christ fulfilled the LAW? And yes, it is very significant. You see, with Israel going off whoring after idols and false gods, Christ (who is One with GOD) had to die to leave Israel as a widow. That she be free to take another legally. So the Word of GOD was nailed to the cross and died, to release Israel of the first covenant with GOD, so they may be Wed to the Risen Son of GOD as part of the second covenant. But, in this, they were also free to take another if they so chose. You see, the first covenant was made with all of Israel, the second by personal choice, one-by-one. So GOD became a personal GOD, to all who would Choose Him, even of the Gentile Nations. What was scattered then, Christ brought together as one, just as he had these here at Bethsaida sit down in groups of 50, in company. By congregation, to eat the bread together, just as the churches would gather to receive the bread of life in Jesus Christ, later. And so, be wed by the Holy Spirit of GOD, not just to GOD alone, but also to one another. A new Kingdom, built up, from those who would have Jesus Christ, and so the Kingdom of GOD would be increased from thence.

Who do you say Jesus Christ is? Do you answer as the people or as His disciples?

Let me show you something from the account of Matthew in this regard, and maybe now it will ring through, if you have not received it before.

Matthew 16:16-19 KJV

[16] And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. [17] And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. [18] And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. [19] And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.16.16-19.KJV

Now, I did say it would take a book, so, just know that there is much more to this. For, the power and authority of the church of Jesus Christ is shown here in one moment, just before Jesus went up upon the mount of transfiguration at what was known then at least, as the gates of hell, at Mount Hermon (Golan Heights) near Caesarea Philippi, where Pan’s Cave is. Just as it is mentioned here in Matthew 16.

Matthew 16:13 KJV

[13] When Jesus came into the coasts of Cæsarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.16.13.KJV

Did you know that the Golan heights is also what was known in the old testament as Bashan? Yes, where Og of Bashan, the giant was from. The more you learn, the more significant that which Christ has done and said becomes.

It is my hope that in just this little bit shared with you today, that it will inspire you to take up a deeper practice of Bible Study. Even, how, what we will look at next tomorrow, the significance is when Christ goes up on this particular mountain for His transfiguration where Moses and Elijah appeared to Him.

At the end of this Passover Weekend, I want you to have assurance in the Authority received of Jesus Christ for all who believes upon His Name, that the gates of hell will not prevail against. That the authority has been given to bind and loose here on earth and it will be so too in heaven, where Christ is at the right hand of GOD.

It must be said today too though, that in the Voice note yesterday I spoke of the significance of this particular Passover, and since then, we have learned that Pope Francis passed away at the Age of 88 and Clause Shwab resigned his post at the World Economic Forum, as it happens, at the age of 88 too.

More will come, for we are now living in the end times; the times for the fulfillment of outstanding prophecies in the preparation of the age to come, where Christ will reign on earth for a thousand years in peace. But first, the conclusion of this age must come by the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

Selah, Shalom

Verse of The Day

From the YouVersion Bible App (Expanded from verse 25)

The House of Bread · Note for 20250421 – The Gospel of Jesus Christ – Part 93 – Luke 9 – As You Are

Luke 9:1-9 KJV

[1] Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. [2] And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. [3] And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece. [4] And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart. [5] And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them. [6] And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where. [7] Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some, that John was risen from the dead; [8] and of some, that Elias had appeared; and of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again. [9] And Herod said, John have I beheaded: but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.

https://bible.com/bible/1/luk.9.1-9.KJV

Note for 20250421

Did the disciples take anything with them, in a manner of provisions? Now here is a more complicated question, what was the gospel they were sent to proclaim? They did have something that went with them, right? They had the authority of Jesus Christ, to heal and drive unclean spirits out. They were to heal the ill and preach the Kingdom to everyone.

Mark 1:14-15 KJV

[14] Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, [15] and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mrk.1.14-15.KJV

But, what Kingdom was being preached, and do not neglect that according to the testimony of Mark, it is the gospel of the Kingdom of GOD and that it is at hand. This matter we looked at in detail when we read from Mark, and can be found here on YouVersion or a search for it on the blog. The interesting matter is to compare the commission of the disciples and compare it with the gospel we hear today.

What is the summation of the ministry of Jesus Christ here on earth, and that which we were called to continue with? Healing the sick, freeing the bound and proclaiming the Kingdom of GOD. Versus what my friends? The state of and the affairs of this physical and seen place? An unseen Kingdom is proclaimed, that calls man to a higher standard than the one of self and mankind.

As I went through this weekend of memorial, I was witness to some words spoken out that cannot be left unaddressed. Without specifics, let me rather ask: Are we building up our ideas of a heavenly kingdom here on earth, as if we are building an empire to GOD in material things?

Who is the Healer, but GOD? Who is the builder, but GOD. Who establishes the ways of man and set them in their course, but GOD? Who is it that sends, but GOD? Who is it that commissions man, but GOD? Who prepares the heart and mind to the duty that must be done, but GOD? Does man send, as if somehow he has become like GOD? Is it man that declares the station of a man before the face of GOD, or did GOD create man according to His pleasure and purpose?

Here, Jesus, the Son of GOD, commissions the disciples. But, He does not send them empty handed as it might appear at first, He gives them power and authority first. Real power and authority. Do you see that? When I heard how one is sent with some monetary gifts, as an apostle to broaden the reach of an institution, I was appalled. Not for the kingdom of GOD, but for the name of something put together by man and run like a business. Shall we run our churches as profit centers then, and send our children on extended “life experiences” under the banner of evangelism on the dime of the poor who gives to GOD? Exactly what are the collections for, to have our children join a church in Amsterdam? Oh, friends, if this be of GOD, may He forgive me. But, were we not told that by their fruit would we know them? Stomping beasts that profit from the poor. Who evangelizes the converted and calls it a profit for themselves? Are all not baptised in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; since when do we need another name added in? So, are we adding to a “Hopehill, ” a “Methodist, Presbyterian, Catholic, reformed or any other specific church” kingdom here on earth? What are you thinking? Who is GOD, is He in favour of one over the other or does He still search the hearts and reigns of mankind Himself? Be careful what you let slip out of your mouth, less you offend GOD Almighty on His Throne in Heaven. I thought we were proclaiming the Kingdom of GOD!

For the lack in food, clothes, shelter and care of the widows, orphans and the poor, the church will be judged in the tithes received. Shall we look at the verse used in a marketing campaign for the wealth of the wolves in the church?

Malachi 3:10 KJV

[10] Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mal.3.10.KJV

“…that there may be meat in mine house…” Did you read that right, have you fed the poor? Or do you consider yourselves poor for a lack in “wanting?” Gluttons fed by that which was established to care for the poor. Do you still bring sacrifice in the house of GOD, at the altar, do you still burn the flesh of offerings? Is that flesh still consumed as holy unto the LORD? Where are your works of charity? Did you not read…

Revelation 20:12 KJV

[12] And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

https://bible.com/bible/1/rev.20.12.KJV

Romans 2:6-11 KJV

[6] Who will render to every man according to his deeds: [7] to them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: [8] but unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, [9] tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; [10] but glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: [11] for there is no respect of persons with God.

https://bible.com/bible/1/rom.2.6-11.KJV

Especially pay attention to verse 11 here at the end, how then is the daughter of the pastor the first to be sent abroad for evangelism. The believer and the godless do it too, they call it a gap year. Once again, who pays the bills, the flights and accommodations? Now, if it be true that such is sent to further the Kingdom of GOD, GOD’S will be done. If there is indeed a calling may all resources strengthen this effort even by the full support of Heaven. But, if this be in a respect of a person thing alone… Woe unto that church who takes from the poor to finance a restless spirit. Are we then not accountable before the Lord anymore? I bring a simple example forth, Eli and his two sons.

Is the Word of GOD not for correction too? Now, while something might have started as one thing, it can become another.

Romans 8:28 KJV

[28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

https://bible.com/bible/1/rom.8.28.KJV

If original intentions can be converted to a real profit for the Kingdom of GOD and not the kingdoms of men, then this matter might be safe. However, if this remains unrepented, remember what GOD did to Jerusalem when they recaptured the Jewish slaves after releasing them in the sabbatical year. King Nebuchadnezzar was turned around to make his siege again against the city.

It will serve men well to remember, it is Christ’s church, not man’s. May the LORD remain merciful with us, because we still struggle to understand. May His prayer remain standing, “forgive them Father, for they know not what they do.” And for the church, in these trying times of mankind, may I suggest a serious effort again to the feeding schemes and assists for the Widows, Orphans and beggars on the street. That there may be mercy found within the Church of Jesus Christ. That there might be meat in the house of GOD.

Selah, Shalom.

Luke 8:41-56 KJV

[41] And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus’ feet, and besought him that he would come into his house: [42] for he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him. [43] And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, [44] came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. [45] And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? [46] And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. [47] And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. [48] And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace. [49] While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead: trouble not the Master. [50] But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. [51] And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden. [52] And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. [53] And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. [54] And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise. [55] And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat. [56] And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done.

Tahlita Cumi

I love even just the sound of these two words, as we find it in the account of Mark.

Mark 5:41 KJV

[41] And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mrk.5.41.KJV

People… Arise in the Name of Jesus Christ. For by just touching His garment a woman was healed from a disease that physicians could not heal in 12 years, and He called the dead out of death, as He did with Lazarus, the brother of Mary and Martha too, after he was dead for days already. And this upcoming Sunday, we remember how Jesus was resurrected from the dead Himself.

Friends, you know of these two accounts, surely you have heard sermons on them before. But can you for just one moment consider how we are dead because of sin in the flesh? I will share with you this morning what I had the privilege to share with others just last night. But here, I will give a little more since I am afforded the time by Christ to do so.

Romans 8:1-17 KJV

[1]  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. [3] For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: [4] that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [5] For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. [6] For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. [7] Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. [8] So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. [9] But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. [10] And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. [11] But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. [12] Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. [13] For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.  [14] For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. [15] For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. [16] The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: [17] and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

https://bible.com/bible/1/rom.8.1-17.KJV

Paul states this so much better than I can, so I wanted you to hear it in full and in truth. The heading for today calls a young damsel out of death, and… As the church of Christ, we are the Bride of Christ. So, by the Words of Christ I call to the church… “Tahlita Cumi!” Walk out of sin and death and come to Spirit and life, even everlasting life in Jesus Christ. Now, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit and towards eternal life in Christ, joint-heirs with Christ, as the sons of GOD.

This weekend, by what the Love of GOD has done for us in Jesus Christ, The Word of GOD, that was with God in the beginning and was GOD then already, the Aleph-Tav, the Beginning and the End, the Only Begotten Son of GOD, our Messiah; remember, you have been granted the Spirit of GOD and life eternal for your faith in Him. Live then no longer as the dead but let life spring up in you. Live by the Light of Jesus Christ in you. As Christ forgives, so must we forgive.

Luke 23:33-34 KJV

[33] And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. [34] Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

https://bible.com/bible/1/luk.23.33-34.KJV

Forgive, as Jesus did, for that is the way of the Spirit that lives in you. Forgive. Charity covers a multitude of sins. Let the death of Christ on the cross, be the Life of Christ in you. For He, friends, are not in the grave anymore, but us resurrected, ascended and sitting at the right hand of GOD the Father in His Throne.

Selah, Shalom

The House of Bread · Note for 20250416 – The Gospel of Jesus Christ – Part 91 – Luke 8 – Blessed Assurance

Luke 8:16-40 KJV

[16]  No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light. [17] For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. [18] Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have. [19] Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press. [20] And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee. [21] And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.  [22] Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth. [23] But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. [24] And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. [25] And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.  [26] And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee. [27] And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs. [28] When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not. [29] (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.) [30] And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him. [31] And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep. [32] And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them. [33] Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked. [34] When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country. [35] Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. [36] They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed. [37] Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear; and he went up into the ship, and returned back again. [38] Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying, [39] Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him. [40] And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.

Blessed Assurance

How many want to break out in song right now? Who wants to sing, “Jesus is mine?” And yet, who are there among you that has no idea what was just said? Shall we then speak of indoctrination or shall we speak on who has come to know Christ? Who is known by Christ, who is filled by The Word of GOD?

Can you still remember why Luke said he wrote all of this down? In other words, what is important to read all these things written down?

Luke 1:1-4 KJV

[1] Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, [2] even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; [3] it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, [4] that thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.

https://bible.com/bible/1/luk.1.1-4.KJV

Do we then stand in a doctrine of Jesus Christ and what is indoctrination, is it good or evil? Did the LORD not say that we should not call good evil nor evil good? What happens then, when you weaponize a word? For I stand in a doctrine, the doctrine of Jesus Christ. I belong to a Kingdom that no flesh can enter. Who can remember why we are reading all of this, where this journey started, of me sharing here with you, in the same fashion as Luke shares with Theophilus? That’s right, we are still reading in response to what we learned in Revelation 21. The City of GOD, and how we can be among those that can enter. We are looking for the Blessed Assurance in Jesus Christ. Or, to speak more correctly, I am sharing with you what I have found, in the hope that you may be encouraged too. That you may take up the mantle, to share the good news of Jesus Christ with all you find in love.

Now, in today’s reading there is a spectrum of matters covered. Who then is the family of Jesus Christ? What authority did He have, over demons and even the weather patterns. Do unclean spirits speak and have demands, and did Jesus hear them and give them as they requested? Can an unclean spirit then possess an animal, and can a mad man become a minister? What are the blessed assurances that you have found in the Word of GOD, and Who is the Word of GOD, the Truth, The Light of men and Who is the eternal Life? What doctrine is in you, what do you have, if the Word (in physical form) should be removed? Can that which you do have, sustain you in a dark night? Is the Word of GOD a lamp unto your feet? Has the Word of GOD become the foundation of who you are? Oh yes! I am indoctrinated, friends… But, no man has led me in that way. No, I was called at night by the LORD, much like it was with Samuel. What is left recorded for us in the Word of GOD is so profound that it can take a man in isolation and separation and make a believer of him. What are you filled with, the Word of GOD or Star Trek quotes? The Word of GOD or silly jokes? The Word of GOD or trivia? You see, our verse in focus today I haven’t given you yet, and here it is:

Luke 8:25 KJV

[25] And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

https://bible.com/bible/1/luk.8.25.KJV

Where is your faith?

If you received the message in full today, there will come a time in the fulfillment of prophecy, when this one question will make the difference whether you still believe or fall away. Then, you will want a sound doctrine in you, as devils push on you. For night comes, when no man can work. A long dark night that lasts longer than you have ever known. A night in which the oil of another will not get you through. Will you remember Legion then, or who is the true family of Jesus Christ? Will you be surprised if your pets become like enemies? What is the use of a door that seals your house, when the enemy is already in the house? Can you make sense of it, that where the Spirit of GOD is not in a man, that he is driven by another, just as we learned in Ephesians 6? Will you be awake, on post in the Whole Armour of GOD? Or will you need someone to remind you of all things? Are you ready then, come what may? What has the Word of GOD prepared you for, a trip to the mall, or a family gathering? Who is your family? Are we still engrossed by what we can see?

Know this too: there is a purpose that I write here to you too. Not to entertain you, no! Netflix is probably better suited for that cause. I am here to guide you to find the Light of Christ, that you can remain standing with Him, when all others might fail you. If it is written here in Luke (for one) it is written for you too. Don’t say, “my Lord delayeth His coming,” less you are found unprepared and standing in all of your sin.

Is the Gospel of Jesus Christ in your heart. Is it like a fountain in you that cannot be stopped? Is the Life of Christ in you that will sustain you for eternity? What is your Blessed Assurance, and please do not be offended… Is it a book that can be taken from you and be burned? And if then burned, what remains in you? What remains, when the hirelings flee from the sheep of GOD, because of the wolves that have come in?

So, are you indoctrinated yet? What is your blessed Assurance for a long dark night? For Christ Himself spoked that. If you then believe in truth, and yet are unprepared for that which was said to come, may the LORD then spare you from all of that, and call you away before such a time. Because that will be a grace, that you do not suffer harsh prosecution.

Let me then give you this in conclusion of the written note of today, the last two verses of the letters sent to the churches in Revelation

Revelation 3:21-22 KJV

[21] To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. [22] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

https://bible.com/bible/1/rev.3.21-22.KJV

What is the Word of GOD to you? A fairy tale? Or, is it a well documented note, in the love of God, in preparation for your day and all days to come with Prophecy included for your benefit? The Master’s Plan for the Salvation of mankind?

The question is not only whether you should read it, but also if you should keep it to yourself only? Is that love?

Selah, Shalom

Verse of The Day

From the YouVersion Bible App (Expanded from verse 43)

Matthew 21:42-44 KJV

[42] Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, The same is become the head of the corner: This is the Lord’s doing, And it is marvellous in our eyes? [43]  Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. [44] And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

The House of Bread · Note for 20250415 – The Gospel of Jesus Christ – Part 90 – Luke 8 – Seedless

Luke 8:1-15 KJV

[1] And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him, [2] and certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, [3] and Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.  [4] And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable: [5] A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. [6] And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. [7] And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. [8] And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. [9] And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be? [10] And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. [11]  Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. [12] Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. [13] They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. [14] And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. [15] But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Note for 20250415

Today, before we get into the main message of the day it is very important to take note of those certain women that ministered unto Christ and His disciples of their substance. Though it is not the main focus of the day, the relevance is huge, and remember, though we are looking at specific matters, we are still in effect reading through the entire New Testament. Ever wondered how Jesus and the disciples were sustained, here you go, Luke answers that question for us. And Mary Magdalene is mentioned first.

Of course, today is about the parable of the Sower (as we know it, but remember headings in the Word were added too, by man.) We are looking at the seed that was sown, where it fell and what became of it. And chiefly to understand of course is this…

Luke 8:11 KJV

[11]  Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

https://bible.com/bible/1/luk.8.11.KJV

This is a very well known parable, and it is not my intention to repeat that which you have heard so many times over and over again, yet, it appears (even in the parable) that many soon become seedless, or that the Word of GOD brings no result in them at all. Still seedless, I suppose. The matter that must be understood is that the true seed is pure, it is perfect. It is where it lands that makes the difference, whether it bears fruit or not. Who conditions those that hear the word of GOD, as much, who tills the ground? Dare I ask… What disturbs the soil, even turning all the way around, to be ready to receive that which bears life? Is the place for rocks and thorns in the good field and is the seed not protected by the scarecrows? Who sows his seed at the side of the road?

Who still sows the Word of GOD, and how long will the Sower still be around? You see, just in the last few hours, some news found its way to me. Some news that is worthwhile mentioning to all who think that life will carry on the sameway forever. Some disturbing news from Great Britain, where believers no face up to 2 years imprisonment for praying or preaching in public. Is it for all faiths? Nope, not at all, it is just against Christians, for Islam is permitted to continue, but the Christian is prevented, threatened with Jail time. Some scarecrows have been brought out it seems, but this time, not to scare away the birds from stealing the seed, no, this time it appears it is to scare away the Sower himself. Shall the land then lay barren? Will the field be seedless?

Who thought that Britain would go this way, as the enemy of the Word of GOD overwhelmed the borders of an open society, and a different kind of seed was sown that left the field covered now in tares and thistles. What do you harvest from a field of thorns?

How long shall we stand ignorant, friends? Times are not changing, they have changed already. If there was a wartime scenario, the enemy is within the city, devouring all that was left of what was good. The fields are overgrown, for care was dropped to maintain it. Yes, other matters received more attention, and before they knew it, the field was ruined. Shall the field then lay barren for a forced sabbatical year, that the soil may rest? Or shall the seed be removed forever? Only GOD the Father knows that timing. Once more, just in time past, and now, maybe more than ever; our brothers and sisters are prevented, just as it was in the time of Israel’s exile to Babylon. Not just prevented, but also slaughtered, as we receive the news of beheadings and crucifixion once more. In the Christian news cycles it comes as “Britain has fallen.” They are left now with an embargo against the Sower. The field due to be overgrown. At least they might still have the pub to down their sorrows, until that is taken away too.

Where are we then in the larger scheme of things? We’re not warned to keep the watch? Here, as we are on approach to the feast in memory of what Jesus Christ, the Good Sower, did for us; the enemy is on the streets and the believer is forced indoors. Shall they set the cities ablaze? We were told to keep the watch, but we left dead puppets in the field. Who is left to blame that the crows came in? Now there is a different kind of crop upon the field, one that can only offer up great harm. Yes, the fields are left seedless, as man preach their sermons of prosperity for their kingdoms in this world. Friends, the fields were left neglected. Now they have become seedless, if not now, then soon indeed. Shall the plow be sent into the field before fire is set to burn up the brambles, tares, thorns and thistles? We are looking at the results of carelessness. A legacy received from our fathers, and that legacy prolonged as carelessness was inherited too.

And here is South Africa, are we then like lambs in pasture, or standing in queues to be slaughtered? But, like ostriches, heads stuck in the sand, the threat is not perceived for a lack of seeing. Might it be the same elsewhere? Did the Word not warn us that the entire world will be offended at Israel in the end? What does the world look like now then? Heads in the sand, u aware, dead puppets in the field as the field goes seedless. Oh friends! Look up!

Selah, Shalom.

Verse of The Day

From the YouVersion Bible App

Matthew 21:13 KJV

[13] and said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.21.13.KJV

Let’s expand the scripture:

Matthew 21:12-14 KJV

[12] And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, [13] and said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. [14] And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.21.12-14.KJV

Let Us Remember:

Exodus 20:1-19 KJV

[1] And God spake all these words, saying, [2] I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. [3] Thou shalt have no other gods before me. [4] Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: [5] thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; [6] and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. [7] Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. [8] Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. [9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: [10] but the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: [11] for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. [12] Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. [13] Thou shalt not kill. [14] Thou shalt not commit adultery. [15] Thou shalt not steal. [16] Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. [17] Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s. [18] And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. [19] And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.
