Mark 12:28-44 KJV

[28] And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? [29] And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is , Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: [30] and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. [31] And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. [32] And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: [33] and to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. [34] And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question. [35] And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David? [36] For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies thy footstool. [37]  David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly. [38] And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces, [39] and the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts: [40] which devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation. [41] And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. [42] And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. [43] And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: [44] for all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

Note for 20250129

One man of a group is not the entire group. For, while one might answer discreetly, the rest might very well still be standing in hypocrisy, speaking things they do not follow themselves, but loving the honor that it brings. One group of people that is known by a certain way does not represent the only ones that do that thing, nor does it mean that they agree on all matters at the heart of it. People flock together by similarities, a common practice, a common view, and as we have seen, a common love for something or someone. Just look at those who stood together to vote for President Trump. All are not the same, but that they had in common.

Discretion is a great thing to learn from early on. This scribe questioning Jesus here regarding the greatest law seems to have stood out as a wise man among those he was around. So too, do we find many that truly believe in Jesus Christ, even though they may be part of a group we have significant differences with. What then about loving our neighbour as ourselves? Do you remember the parable of the Good Samaritan? Just because someone is of your own people doesn’t mean that he loves and cares for you, a stranger might just treat you better than those that know you. Are we neighbours by the Spirit or by the flesh, for what have we in common with the wicked? And yet, might there be a closer friend, in the Spirit, in the camp of those who are brought against our fellow citizens. In treason then, is it of the flesh or of the Spirit, when nations claiming to worship Jesus Christ come against each other on the battlefield? What then of, thou shalt not kill and thou shalt nor covet what is thy neighbour’s. Is both not covered by love thy neighbour as thyself?

What is it to love the Lord your GOD with all your heart, mind, soul and strength? Do you consider this widow at the end of the reading today to love the LORD? For she gave all that she had, even that which she had for bread. Who should be first in your heart and mind? And what then of Matthew 25:40; that what we do unto the least of us, we have done to Christ? Jesus Christ died on that cross for all mankind, that they of Adam might be saved.

So, of those that came against Jesus in His time here on earth, we see this one among the group to whom Jesus says, he is not far from the Kingdom of GOD.

In our daily lives, who is it that the world expects us to compete against? The world places us in groups, by type and kind, by creed and borderlines. The media of mankind markets hate for one and love for another, is that like the ministry of Christ? By election we are to choose a side, for one or the other, but what about loving our enemy as Christ preached at the sermon on the mount? Now, you may say it is just for some or the other outcome, but I ask you; what is hate? For one to gain, another must suffer the loss of it. Is that love? Know this too, that while two kings might send their troops to the battlefield, do they not sit safely at home? Do you remember how King Solomon’s mother became King David’s wife? There is one that is righteous, and that is our Lord Jesus Christ. Do you understand the question of Jesus regarding the words of David about Christ now?

In love then, when we look at those around us and all that they get involved in, should we not make sure that we do not have errors in us? For if we strive for the righteousness of Christ, we strive also for the love of Christ that we do not transgress against our neighbour or GOD that we love. Then, GOD’S grace is afforded to all by the judgment of GOD Himself, if we take our hand off the scales of justice. If we live by His instruction, then we walk within the will of GOD. You cannot say you love GOD, and hate what He loves, nor love what He hates. So, the body, mind, heart and soul must come into alignment with the Word of GOD. So too, do we become the vessels of the Love of GOD. God is Love, and by that love, we have the Spirit of GOD in us. For now, while we are still imperfect, it is but a goal, as we strive toward the perfection of Jesus Christ. So do we go through trials and tribulation, as the fire that separates us from impurities, in the process of deliverance and sanctification, unto our redemption at the end. When we are washed white as snow, without spot or wrinkle. Anything but the Word of GOD, is like spots on our garments. Can we then walk in half measure? Shall we give up before we reach the end?

Love the Lord your GOD with all of you, and your neighbour as yourself. Repent when you fall short of that. King David was loved by GOD for his repenting heart.

Selah, Shalom.

Mark 12:13-27 KJV

[13] And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words. [14] And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Cæsar, or not? [15] Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it. [16] And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Cæsar’s. [17] And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Cæsar the things that are Cæsar’s, and to God the things that are God’s. And they marvelled at him. [18] Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying, [19] Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man’s brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. [20] Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed. [21] And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise. [22] And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also. [23] In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife. [24] And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God? [25] For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven. [26] And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? [27] He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

Note for 20250128

Interestingly, in our reading, we read of 3 factions coming to Christ to test Him. Furthermore, it appears from the text that the Pharisees and Herodians had some coalition in this matter. It is either that, or that there were Pharisees that were also of Herod’s Party. Jip, you are looking at political parties, as we would call it today, identified by their religion and/or their leaning in matters. Like the Scribes, they were for the literal law and did not believe in the resurrection or spiritual matter, while the Pharisees did. The Herodians, of course, standing for the sake of Herod, you can say they were Caesar’s worshippers. What is really interesting, is that all three of these groups are vastly different from Christ. They stood for the doctrine of men, the laws and statues as concluded by the hearts and minds of carnal men, while Jesus stood for the Truth of GOD, even as The Word of GOD.

Now, from the heading you will know that this note is about rendering to Caesar what is his, and to GOD what is His. Caesars is identified by a very specific mark, that is that his image is made upon the penny. What is the first commandment again? Jip, I said it, it is marked in a transgression of the first law of GOD. Now imagine all the worshipping of money?

But, what is GOD’S? What that is of man, has no start with something of GOD’S? Where did the metal come from for the coin? Who made the coin? In fact, name me one thing that started without being part first of GOD’S creation. Anything of man, or of Satan, is that which was GOD’S first and somehow changed and corrupted from its original state. Was Satan himself not an angel of GOD first? So, what must be rendered unto GOD? That’s right, all that is not corrupted, even so man must repent of his corruption to be brought back to perfection by the Sacrifice of Jesus, before we can come into the presence of GOD and live.

Furthermore, the second part of the scripture actually explains this. For when man “dies” he becomes like the angels, not taken or given in marriage. Tell me again how man was created at first, male and female; with the breath of GOD in them making them a living soul. (Genesis 2:7) It is there after that GOD separates the woman from the man, so man could have a helper. Yes, even I am amazed, for these things soon come to a state of consideration that exceeds my contemplation and understanding. It is a matter that is too high for me. When the partial and temporary returns to a state of eternal. My hope is to return to a state that pleases GOD, without corruption or the mark of man. What then is self-image? What is the regard that a man has for himself? How then are we known by mankind, how are we described? What is the mark of man that is placed upon us, in which image do we stand and how are we known; as who and what?

These three factions are known by their position on matters and their affiliations. So too, were those that followed Jesus Christ, known as His disciples. Are we a man or a woman, a child or a parent; what is then of GOD, and what is of man? Is man himself not of GOD? And then reassigned by personal choice and affiliation?

What of Jesus Christ? Is He not called the Son of GOD? And from His genealogy, did we not see in the Book of Luke that He is also the son of Adam, who is named as the Son of GOD? If the Holy Spirit of GOD is then the Mark of GOD, to whom do we belong? I come to you by reason, I state a case for GOD. But, would this not be true whether I was born or not?

GOD, the Creator; the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, is not the GOD of the dead but the living. So too can we see that the scribes are schooled by Jesus on the truth, for they did not believe in the resurrection. Shall I now ask a question that might just be too profound for consideration. At what point does the resurrection take place, if these patriarchs of Israel are spoken of as the living? Did Christ not speak of Abraham in the parable of Lazarus the rich man? For now, in our current state and knowledge, it is better to be humble and admit how far we are falling short of the Glory of GOD. That which is GOD’S, render it unto Him. By Whose Word and breath do I live? What made me a living soul?

So, my word and life belongs to GOD, I will render it unto him. Man can keep his marks, but all of creation comes from GOD. And if then of GOD, then GOD will sustain it as long as it pleases Him. I am okay with that, because it exists in the Truth of GOD. What more might the Creator bring? As much as pleases Him, even the state of me, with His mark upon me. On that Cross, Christ died for more than just me.

Mark 12:1-12 KJV

[1] And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country. [2] And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard. [3] And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty. [4] And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled. [5] And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some. [6] Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son. [7] But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be our’s. [8] And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard. [9] What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others. [10] And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected Is become the head of the corner: [11]  This was the Lord’s doing, And it is marvellous in our eyes? [12] And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mrk.12.1-12.KJV

Note for 20250127

A parable of Jesus Christ. What is it like, what has mankind done? Here we have a foreshadowing that the elite of Israel would kill their Messiah, of whom Moses and the prophets testified. Here Christ said, that when the lord of the vineyard comes, he will destroy the Husbandmen and give the vineyard to others. It is important to know that it is text like this that led some to believe the doctrine of replacement theology, that the church replaces Israel in the promises of GOD. From the text here, it may indeed be assumed, but then, with knowledge of the prophecies, we know that GOD is not done with Israel. So for one verse, let me give you some other verses, so it may be seen.

Isaiah 11:11-13 KJV

[11] And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. [12] And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. [13] The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

Now besides this, you also have the entire book of Revelation to contend with, if you were led to believe that GOD is done with Israel. Is the tribulation and the great tribulation, as coined by man, not also known as the week of Jacob’s Trouble? Is the Church of Christ stored up for the wrath of GOD; according to the Word of GOD? Is it not written that in those days, those in Judea will have to flee; even by the Words of Christ Jesus, that they should not turn back to collect anything, but run from where they are?

You see, the Lord also said, through much trials and tribulation will we enter into the Kingdom of GOD. Remember also, where Christ said the Kingdom of GOD is, even in us.

However, let us look at the response of those that sought to harm the Son of GOD, that in this scripture, knew that the parable was against them. The elite of the House of Judah, the Pharisees and scribes. Let us look at an account by the Prophet Ezra, so you might understand some of the Words of Christ against these factions among the elite of Judah.

Ezra 9:1-4 KJV (It is best to read all of this account in Ezra)

[1] Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites. [2] For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass. [3] And when I heard this thing, I rent my garment and my mantle, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down astonied. [4] Then were assembled unto me every one that trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of the transgression of those that had been carried away; and I sat astonied until the evening sacrifice.

Aren’t these nations listed here among those listed by Moses, that Israel should have destroyed them utterly? Just of Moab, was there not the matter of Baal-Peor? Now, surely you can understand that I cannot repeat the history of Israel for you here in just one sitting. Neither would you be able to sit through it if I did. What then is the Holy Seed? For that, we need to go back into history even further.

Genesis 3:14-15 KJV

[14] And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: [15] And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

On top of this, it will benefit you also to read Genesis 6. But let me give you an extract from it pertaining to the Holy Seed comment in Ezra 9.

Genesis 6:9 KJV

[9] These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

I know, it is a lot to take in, if this is your first encounter with the consideration that the seed from Eve to Jesus Christ had to be purely from the seed of Adam, which GOD created in the beginning. So Christ could make atonement for mankind, pure in His generations, without mingling of the Holy Seed. It is therefore that you hear Christ speak of them coming from the synagogue of Satan, a den of vipers. Like Cain, they have murder in their hearts, and here we read once more of that nature in them. Look at this parable, see the evidence Christ gave to the point that they themselves recognise that He spoke about them. These are not all of Israel, just those who come from a mingled seed. In the Book of Revelation, in the letters to the churches of the Galatians (that was in what we now know as Turkey;) Jesus narrates to John about those who say they are from Israel, but is not Israel. These are from those that are at enmity with Christ, and the church of Christ. They are from the synagogues that always stirred up trouble for those professing Jesus Christ. And here, in the text, in conclusion of the parable of Christ, they seek to harm our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The seed that came from that old serpent, known to us as Satan. Does Christ not speak of the seat of Satan in those letters we find in the book of Revelation too?

I could burden you further and read Malachi 4 to you, so that you may hear of the righteous and the wicked when the Sun of Righteousness comes. I could repeat again, the testimony as we find it in the book of Jude. I could take you to the book of Numbers, to identify whom those were that GOD sent Israel to destroy in the land of Canaan, even look at the size of the bed of Og, the King of Bashan by measurement, 13 and a half feet in length and 6 feet wide.

When you read of these Husbandmen in this parable of Jesus Christ, you may not know at first, because the same serpent seed has been hiding the truth from mankind, because they are fully intent on taking that which was given to mankind in the earth. They are strange men that have come in amongst us, spots in our feasts of charity as Jude writes to us. Whom Israel were ordered to destroy utterly, they took to themselves as wives and went after strange gods. These will be removed, and from among those scattered in among all nations, the remnant of the Children of Abraham will be returned, by their kind, for their faith in GOD. Those, who like Noah, walk with GOD. Our faith will be accounted to us as righteousness, just as Abraham’s faith in God was accounted to him as righteousness. For his trust was in GOD.

I know, this is a great thing to consider. And if you were reading with me through the Bible, on the reading plan “as it happened,” then by now much of what is written here would not come as a surprise to you. Now, for the sake of the time we are living in, the Word is brought out plainly. Now, it is not just parables anymore. And for you, who can hear the word of GOD, the truth will not remain hidden any longer. Be it here that you read, or if you hear it by another, the Holy Spirit of GOD will confirm the Word, and the Word, that which comes by the Holy Spirit, the Holy Seed within us, even the Spirit of the Most High GOD.

Selah, Shalom

Mark 11:1-33 KJV

[1] And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples, [2] and saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him. [3] And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither. [4] And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him. [5] And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt? [6] And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go. [7] And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him. [8] And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way. [9] And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord: [10] Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest. [11] And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.  [12] And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: [13] and seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. [14] And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it. [15] And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; [16] and would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. [17] And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves. [18] And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine. [19] And when even was come, he went out of the city.  [20] And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. [21] And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. [22] And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. [23] For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. [24] Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. [25]  And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. [26] But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. [27] And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders, [28] and say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things? [29] And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. [30] The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me. [31] And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him? [32] But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed. [33] And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

Mark 11:25-26 KJV

[25]  And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. [26] But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mrk.11.25-26.KJV

There is quite a bit that can be “unpacked” from the text today. It is for this reason that you often hear sermons that center around just a few verses. For those who believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD and the son of David, there is no need for me to establish your faith in Him again. You know that Jesus is the promised Messiah, even the Word of GOD made flesh. However, if you are a tree, do you bear fruit in all seasons? Or are you withered away like this fig tree? Have we brought unrighteousness into the house of GOD, like these money changers, and who did Christ say is the House of GOD? Where is the Kingdom of GOD? Where is faith stored up and who will move mountains by it? If we ask in prayer and believe in our heart, what may prevent it from coming to pass? If you wait for me to give you the answer, then the answer is not in you; these things you must be able to answer by the faith you carry within.

How many times in the wilderness did Moses plead with the LORD not to destroy the Israelites? He said to GOD, that if He killed them in the desert that the Egyptians will say that He took the Israelites into the wilderness to kill them, and GOD repented and spared them, only he brought out a remnant from the wilderness after keeping them in the wilderness for 40 years. Did Moses and Aaron enter the promised land with the remnant of Jacob? Do not fear a man, but fear GOD.

At communion, can you partake if you have ought against someone? Are you not to leave the Lord’s table and first correct that? Why then, would these words offend you?

Mark 11:25-26 KJV

[25]  And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. [26] But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mrk.11.25-26.KJV

Is it not in the nature of GOD?

I have recently again confirmed that we are to keep the watch. We cannot go through this life with blinkers on. We are to see the Truth in all things, wise as serpents and gentle as doves. From what we have read here today, and if you can remember, of that we have read before; what may the fruit of revenge be? What might the fate of the avenger be? For GOD said in this Word, “revenge is Mine.” Revenge by man is a transgression of these two verses, among others not quoted here.

If then not forgiven, how might you meet the day of judgment, even the day of our LORD? In short, if you give, then will you receive. Is it not written that man will be rewarded according to his deeds?

Even now there may be some of you saying in your heart, “you do not understand what was done to me.” Have you not heard my testimony? I have been falsely accused, I have been beaten and violated when I was just a child. I have been betrayed, back-stabbed and my name has been slandered behind my back. And I say to you, when all this that you see has been removed the Word of GOD will still stand, especially on the last day at the judgment of mankind.

Man plays a game of religion, with masks and robes to parade around to gain favor from his fellow man, but to GOD, we are as good as naked. You can say you have forgiven, but do your words and your deeds marry up? If not, then we stand in hypocrisy, the very thing Christ was most outspoken about against the Pharisees and scribes.

When you pray the Lord’s prayer, do you not say the words, “and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us?”

I ask you again, what is revenge then? Don’t you know that GOD can drop a mountain on your head? All it takes is for someone who believes to say to a mountain to move from where it is. Is it not herein the text we read today?

In my watch, I have seen Christians adopt an attitude of revenge, even a judgment of their fellow man in an eye for an eye. “They will get what they deserve,” edged out in their heart. They have moved away from the compassion of their heart. Is it not written, do not repay evil with evil? Did Christ not say, “love thine enemy.” If our enemy is hungry, should we feed him, and when he is thirsty, are we to give to him to drink? Shall Christians then go and demand a life for a life? Judge not lest ye be judged, and remember, GOD sees even to the utmost deepest part of man’s aberration. Even that done in secret. Let him without sin then cast the first stone.

As men, we make suggestions to our friends. But, the Words of Christ is not mere suggestion, it shows The Way. If you do not follow the instruction of the Lord, you will lose your way and become lost.

You cannot claim to believe in Christ and deny His Word. It is in His Word that you are forgiven and set free from the penalty of sin, which is death, even the second death.

Selah, Shalom.

[9] And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Let us expand this, to hear what is said

Mark 4:3-9 KJV

[3] Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: [4] and it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. [5] And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: [6] but when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. [7] And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. [8] And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred. [9] And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mrk.4.3-9.KJV

Now let’s look at the layout by Christ of this, to be understood (As we just recently looked at)

Mark 4:10-20 KJV

[10] And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. [11] And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: [12] that seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. [13] And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? [14]  The sower soweth the word. [15] And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. [16] And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; [17] and have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended. [18] And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, [19] and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. [20] And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

Mark 10:32-52 KJV

[32] And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen unto him, [33] saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles: [34] and they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.  [35] And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come unto him, saying, Master, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall desire. [36] And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you? [37] They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory. [38] But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? [39] And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized: [40] but to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared. [41] And when the ten heard it, they began to be much displeased with James and John. [42] But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them. [43] But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: [44] and whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. [45] For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.  [46] And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimæus, the son of Timæus, sat by the highway side begging. [47] And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. [48] And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. [49] And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. [50] And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. [51] And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. [52] And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mrk.10.32-52.KJV

Note for 20250124

The account of the request made by the sons of Zebedee is a well known scripture. They requested the thing which Jesus could not give them, the assurance that they will be sat down next to Jesus on either side in His Glory. It doesn’t mean that they won’t, just that that honor will go to whom it is prepared. Note how Jesus answers the blind man in a way that resembles the way in which James and John made their request to Christ, “what would you have me do for you?” Almost as to confirm His statement to the disciples that the greatest must be the least, so The Son of GOD asks the blind man how He may be of service to him. We know that Christ will have the greatest glory, so He did the most for mankind, by the sacrifice He made for them. He ministers to mankind, the forgiveness of sin and the way unto eternal life.

Bartimeaus gains his sight as he requested of Christ, and follows Him in the Way. So, for Glory and Honor man followed Christ. Be that the gain of eternal life, deliverance from unclean spirits or for the knowledge of the Kingdom of GOD. Some followed Christ, because of the increase of Bread, and to this day, many follow Christ for peace of mind. Some have risen to great Glory, as ministers of Christ. All the same, man serves for glory and gain. It is not a new thing for man, think of Jacob wrestling with the angel of GOD, who refused to let the angel go, less he gave Jacob a blessing. So too did Jacob “negotiate” with GOD, that if He would bless him, that he would give a tithe of all his gain to GOD. I say to you, that there is more righteousness in serving for the sake of serving, without expectation of return; but is a man capable of that, doing something good for nothing more than the result he has worked for? We see an example of that in the Parable Christ told of the good Samaritan. Applied, such service still being some form of honor that benefits a man. Did Solomon not write that to give to the poor is to lend to GOD?

Does man not consider the day of reward in all he does? Some for gain here and others for the reward to come with Christ. Do we believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of GOD, that we may be forgiven and receive eternal life? Somehow, it almost always seems that there is a trade taking place, good for good and evil for evil. And yet, have we not read that GOD said to Moses that the sacrifices brought unto him must come as a free gift. Have we not read that GOD loves one that gives freely? Don’t you know that something can only truly be free, if it is given without an expectation of return? If then given freely, does one expect honor in the matter? Did Christ not say that the one hand must not know what the other hand does?

Nevertheless, by the promises of GOD, such reward is guaranteed. He who lives by the sword shall die by the sword, and the merciful will obtain mercy. It is by covenant and by law, almost as a contracted result for the efforts of mankind. But, Jesus died upon the cross as a free gift for mankind. He is not forceful, He does not go against our own choices, but afford each of us to choose for ourselves to accept Him or not. To do good or evil, it is our own choice. Still there is reward and honor in the mix on the day of rewards. Some to salvation and others unto condemnation, the choice is ours.

Man goes after that which is true in his own heart, be it sin, then sin, and if it is good, then good; at least, in the attempt of it. Even in dark practices, man does something in exchange for his efforts, be it for fame or riches, honor and gain. So truly, it is more about where you choose to be rewarded, this life or what comes here after.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of GOD, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

Selah, Shalom.

[13]  Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. [14] Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. [15] Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Mark 10:17-31 KJV

[17] And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? [18] And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. [19] Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. [20] And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. [21] Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. [22] And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. [23] And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! [24] And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! [25] It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. [26] And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? [27] And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. [28] Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. [29] And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, [30] but he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. [31] But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mrk.10.17-31.KJV

Note for 20250123

No, this is not a prosperity teaching, though there is enough here to have such a misunderstanding. The heart will seek more of that which is in the heart. If the heart is then for gold and silver, dainties and the luxuries of extreme comforts; then that is what riches is measured as.

Do you remember reading of the time when the mother of Jesus and His siblings came looking for Him, how he pointed to those that were with Him, saying that whosoever does the will of His Father, they are His mothers and His brothers and sisters? Did He not also speak blessing on those who will receive any of those He sent out to minister the Gospel of the Kingdom of GOD to others? For whose gain do you labour, yours or to the Kingdom of GOD? And if then for the Kingdom, are they who are joined to the Kingdom of GOD not called your family? Do we not speak of brothers and sisters in reference? Are the widows not like our mothers?

What about our Father? When this young man came to Christ and said, “Good Master…” What did Christ reply? Is it not written to call no one on earth father?

Matthew 23:8-10 KJV

[8] But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. [9] And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. [10] Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

Who then is your family? And do all stay in just one house here on earth or are there many houses which may be called home, a place of shelter?

But, man’s heart has hardened. The love of many has waxed cold. How many go without shelter, because men have lost their first love?

You know that I care for my mother, living with us in the house. Do you know that I have been brought to pause in quiet time, by the Spirit to go and check on her? I have even been brought to pause, mid-recording, to answer a message received from someone that needed me. Did we not just recently read how the disciples were put to labour to serve the masses with the increase of bread, when they were prevented from the rest that Christ intended for them to have. Family. Those that do the will of our Father. Those who are searching for Him, seeking salvation and deliverance. Did Christ not pause to deal with someone who needed Him? What about the request for healing and driving out unclean spirits?

But, do not be mistaken, there will come a time of reward, even here on earth.

Matthew 5:3-12 KJV

[3] Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. [4] Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. [5] Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. [6] Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. [7] Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. [8] Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. [9] Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. [10] Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. [11] Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. [12] Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Tell me, for which riches do you then yearn for? Are you like this young man, grieved by that which he had to give up; or, like these disciples of Christ, that gave up everything, even unto death? But do not be mistaken, the wealth of the godless is stored up for the righteous. Even Israel had to endure the wilderness before they came into the promised land.

A rich life is to share the riches of GOD with those who are such a family as Christ has spoken about. And we are called by Christ and even the Law to have compassion for the stranger among us. Have your heart then grown cold, while you profess to have warmth in you. Are you hot or cold? Who has become lukewarm?

Who do you call, “Good Master?” Or, shall I ask a more apt question for our time? Why do you read the Word of GOD and congregate with believers? Is it to feel better about yourself, maybe in yourself; or to be a servant of the Most High GOD? Tell me, what was Christ’s first instruction when this young man asked Jesus what he must do to inherit the Kingdom of GOD?

Selah, Shalom.

Mark 10:1-16 KJV

[1] And he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judæa by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again. [2] And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him. [3] And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you? [4] And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away. [5] And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. [6] But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. [7] For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; [8] and they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. [9] What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. [10] And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter. [11] And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. [12] And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery. [13] And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. [14] But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. [15] Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. [16] And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

Note for 20250122

It has become needful to explain again what the mission is that we are fulfilling by our reading here at this time. We are reading through the Gospels of Jesus Christ in response to what we have read in the Book of Revelation. Especially in Revelation 21, which speaks on the New Heavens and the New Earth, with the New Jerusalem that comes down from Heaven. The essential consideration is in this, what does GOD expect of us that we may enter into that city then. Let’s look at a brief extract from there again, but it is best if you can read all of Revelation 21 at least to be refreshed.

Revelation 21:7-8 KJV

[7] He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. [8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

What is it to overcome? What is it; to receive the Kingdom of GOD as a little child? Look at the list out of Revelation 21 which has man go to the lake of fire. That is mostly things that adults make themselves guilty of. What must then be overcome? That’s right! We must find our innocence again and overcome these things that GOD hates. Look at the list, each is identified by either hate and/or rebellion at heart. Even some form of perversion and corruption from that which GOD has made at first. What is it then to be a son of GOD, but being a child at heart, before corruption sets in. Have you not read in Genesis that man at first did not even know that they were naked? And in their nakedness they could walk with GOD in the garden, the Paradise of GOD. Is nakedness then evil, or man’s perversions? Still, because of perversion, man’s nakedness had to be hidden. Because of the lust of the flesh, what GOD has made had to be hidden, clothed in skins.

The question of divorce is from this corrupted state. The man and woman that GOD made is judged by mankind as not sufficient. Today, man adds or removes from that which was given, modifying themselves to what pleases man, rather than that which pleases GOD. Have you noticed, a child is happy with who they are, until someone teases them, or points out something that makes them unique.

GOD gave what is good in His sight, but then man ads by his opinion and declares that which GOD made as falling short of their expectation. Then we learn that our nose is too long, or our ears stand out too far; we are too tall, too short, too skinny or too fat. And that is just on outward appearance still. When man and woman join to one another, based on layers that are just skin deep, when the inner person is eventually met, they find fault in that, based on their own desires and expectations. They may hang around until the point when they can no longer live in peace with one another. That is how it is at this time. Mankind marries based on that which is desired by the flesh, is that not lust, rather than love? Yes, maybe love on the world’s definition, that speaks once more to desire. I speak not on this without experience of the error I found in myself. Man wants to be served, rather than to serve another. And when two people reach the point where neither of their needs are being met, what is the godless result?

Jesus explains it best here why Moses permitted a letter of divorce. Even here we can learn from children, who make friends with all kinds while they still stand in innocence. The Word explains that the tongue is like a sword, and with age, that sword becomes sharper and sharper still, cutting those around asunder. Divorce is an error in heart, when it becomes too hard.

Friends,I write not on this without personal experience on this matter. I myself have been guilty of it. So much pain. So much heartache. And yet, would I have come to the knowledge of truth without tasting its poison? As hard headed as I was, I sincerely do not think that I would have.

Now we stand on the day of preparation. We have learned from our lives what “works” and what doesn’t. Experience has brought us to a state of preparedness, as the night approaches. What then must be overcome? Is it not the hardness of man’s heart? Let us then have childlike hearts.

Selah, Shalom.

Verse of The Day

From the YouVersion Bible App for 20250124 (Expanded from verse 33)

Mark 13:32-37 KJV

[32]  But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. [33] Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. [34] For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. [35] Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: [36] lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. [37] And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Mark 9:30-50 KJV

[30] And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it. [31] For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day. [32] But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.  [33] And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way? [34] But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest. [35] And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all. [36] And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them, [37] Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me. [38] And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. [39] But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. [40] For he that is not against us is on our part. [41] For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward. [42] And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. [43] And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: [44] where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. [45] And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: [46] where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. [47] And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: [48] where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. [49] For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. [50] Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

Note for 20250121

On the day of writing here, we are attending another memorial again. The wife of a friend has passed on. Each time we are faced with the cyclical nature of life, we are so easily brought to contemplate on life itself. What is life, and who are these little ones Christ is speaking of? Are we not the little ones of GOD? Are we, who believe in Jesus Christ, not called the children of GOD? Then I remember what is written, mourn with those that mourn. The sense of loss man experience pulls at the heart. More so, when death remains unexplained. It is like sending off a loved one to an unknown place, not knowing whether we will see them again. For the matters between GOD and a man, it is mostly only known in secret. It reminds us of dust to dust, and consideration is given to the judgment that will come. Shall they be resurrected first, or shall they be resurrected at the last day? For each, that truth is only known by GOD. That makes a memorial or burial hard for the believer to navigate, because we are in mourning, but we also know of the possible joy.

Who then wants to be the greatest? And, in knowledge of scriptures like today’s, who wants to be the least now, only to be the greatest in the hereafter? May death not be a consideration, in our knowledge of the promise of eternal life. Yet should we be careful to navigate this life in truth, admit when we are not purview to the truth of each. Yet is it insensitive to speak such truth to those who stand in mourning, for their burden at this time is overwhelming. Who knows the nature of the secret man, what is done behind closed doors that goes unrepented? The Christian thus has this knowledge within, there is one of two outcomes for those who have finished their race here on earth. We know, our Saviour will return and resurrect the dead. Some to redemption, but sadly, some to condemnation.

So, have these memorials become a place where the end of man is most contemplated? Shall we meet a fate worse than a millstone around the neck being cast into the abyss? For many, this is the only type of day that meets such consideration, but it is at the forefront of the believers mind. For we are advocates of the resurrection unto eternal life with Jesus Christ. This is like the harvest Christ spoke of, some to the storeroom of GOD and some to the fire spoken of here in the scripture today.

May I then invite you this day to join us in this consideration? Who truly knows when his breath will cease? We are here one day, and gone the next. Life has a final result, and at this time still, that which comes at this threshold for each is obscured from the rest. Now we know in part, but one day, we will know in full when the Truth is revealed.

So, while we still draw breath, it is important to consider our neighbours well. If then a little one of GOD, how have we treated them here on earth? May it be found that we were helpers of the children of GOD. Servants to the Most High GOD.

Selah, Shalom.

Mark 9:1-29 KJV

[1] And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.  [2] And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. [3] And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them. [4] And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus. [5] And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. [6] For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid. [7] And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. [8] And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves. [9] And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead. [10] And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean. [11] And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come? [12] And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought. [13] But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him. [14] And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them. [15] And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him. [16] And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them? [17] And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit; [18] and wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not. [19] He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me. [20] And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming. [21] And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. [22] And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. [23] Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. [24] And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. [25] When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. [26] And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead. [27] But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose. [28] And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? [29] And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

Note for 20250120

What did we just read? Do you think it too great a feat for GOD to merge time together on that mount so that Jesus, Moses and Elijah all came there, in their own time and met, across time? Did Moses not shine too, in need to cover his face from the children of Israel? We cannot say that it happened in that way, nor can we say it didn’t. For with GOD, all things are possible, is He restricted by time?

Here, Jesus says to His disciples that Elijah has already come, and elsewhere it is recorded that it was John the Baptist that came in the spirit of Elijah. So, that Prophecy has been fulfilled. Is it not recorded in the book of Numbers, how GOD took some of the Spirit that was with Moses, and brought it on the seventy elders? What man deems impossible, GOD can do.

What then about verse 1?

Mark 9:1 KJV

[1] And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

https://bible.com/bible/1/mrk.9.1.KJV

Did Peter, James and John not see the transfiguration? Did they not receive the Holy Spirit when Christ breathed on them, appearing to them in a locked room after His resurrection? Were they not present at Pentecost, for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit? Has the Kingdom of GOD not come in great power? Did Christ not say that the Kingdom of GOD is in us? And are we not joined to that Kingdom for our faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD, of whom GOD the Father testify of here upon the mount of transfiguration? How can we say, our Lord delay His coming, when He has poured out His Spirit in us? Did Christ not say, He will never leave, nor forsake us? Man’s problem is thus in faith. Hear the plea of this father of the Son Jesus heals, “help us in our unbelief.” Did the Father not say upon the mount, “This is My beloved Son, hear Him;” to Peter James and John? What of Moses and Elijah, weren’t they there at the time?

I told you, man makes a parallax error, judging eternal things from a mortal space. To receive the Truth, we must be joined in Spirit to Him that is eternal. Even now, there are some that say, “where does this man get this from?” The answer is, “From the Holy Spirit,” without which nothing of heaven can be perceived by man in truth. Still sceptical? How did Christ appear to the Apostle Paul? Who called him to service and guided him in all to do?

Do you hear the Word of GOD? Do you hear His Beloved Son? Is the Word of GOD not transcribed for us, that confirms what we receive from within? So we say Amen, and who is not joined in Christ are still like blind men. Why run to men for consultation on matters of GOD, when GOD is near and available to all who will call upon Him by Name. And the Name that was given to us, is that of His Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, GOD’S only begotten Son, of Whom He said, “Hear Him.”

Do you still struggle with your belief? Then pray as this father did, “Help us in our unbelief.” For it is GOD Who pours out the measure of the Holy Spirit in each. Whatsoever you shall ask the LORD in the Name of Jesus Christ, what is written that you will receive? Pray then in the Spirit, not in the carnal mind and heart. Seek ye first the Kingdom of GOD, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

Now is the time to stand in full preparation for…

Proverbs 19:20-23 KJV

[20] Hear counsel, and receive instruction, That thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. [21]  There are many devices in a man’s heart; Nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand. [22] The desire of a man is his kindness: And a poor man is better than a liar. [23] The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: And he that hath it shall abide satisfied; He shall not be visited with evil.

Let us remind ourselves of yesterday’s Verse of the Day extract from scripture:

Psalm 119:9-16 KJV

[9] Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy word. [10] With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. [11] Thy word have I hid in mine heart, That I might not sin against thee. [12] Blessed art thou, O LORD: Teach me thy statutes. [13] With my lips have I declared All the judgments of thy mouth. [14] I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, As much as in all riches. [15] I will meditate in thy precepts, And have respect unto thy ways. [16] I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
