Mark 14:26-72 KJV

[26] And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives. [27] And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered. [28] But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee. [29] But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I. [30] And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. [31] But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all. [32] And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray. [33] And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy; [34] and saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch. [35] And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. [36] And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt. [37] And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour? [38] Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. [39] And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words. [40] And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him. [41] And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. [42] Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand. [43] And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders. [44] And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely. [45] And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him. [46] And they laid their hands on him, and took him. [47] And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. [48] And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me? [49] I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled. [50] And they all forsook him, and fled. [51] And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him: [52] and he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.  [53] And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes. [54] And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire. [55] And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none. [56] For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together. [57] And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying, [58] We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands. [59] But neither so did their witness agree together. [60] And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? [61] But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? [62] And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. [63] Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses? [64] Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death. [65] And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands. [66] And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest: [67] and when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth. [68] But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew. [69] And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them. [70] And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilæan, and thy speech agreeth thereto. [71] But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak. [72] And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

Good Weather Friends

I know, even I find this heading somewhat strange, but it is the heading that I received to write.

To think, just before this scripture we read today, they were sitting down at the last supper. Now here, Jesus finds Himself on trial. From the garden to trial and tribulation. Mankind was in the Garden of GOD in Eden at the beginning, but our trials and tribulations came because we sinned and fell away, but Jesus stood innocent before these men. Before that Jesus was taken captive, betrayed by a kiss from Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve; they sat together at the passover meal. As the Shepherd was taken, the sheep scattered. One, fleeing away naked, leaving his linen garment behind. But, Peter followed a little behind them as they led Jesus to his trial at the House of the High Priest, betraying Jesus just as Jesus said he would.

You have read this scripture, and many of you can recall in this moment, the other accounts you have read before of this moment in the Life of Jesus Christ here on earth. We know that John was known by the High Priest and that he arranged for Peter to come into the courtyard. We know it was Peter that drew his sword and cut off the ear of the high priest’s servant, even, how that servant asked Peter, “did I not see you in the garden?” And our reading ends where Peter weeps, when he remembers what Jesus said to him that he would betray Him.

Now, much of this for us today is of the historical account leading up to the Crucifixion of The Son of GOD. What is the soul’s response to that? They took Him by night, betrayed by a kiss and His disciples fled for the sake of their own lives. In the account of John we remember that Christ appealed to those taking Him captive to let those with Him go. We remember how even the Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus before to try and catch Him out in words. Why take Him captive like this, at night, in secret? Now, of course, in the daytime, Jesus was surrounded by those who wanted to be healed and delivered from unclean spirits, where He taught those that came to Him about the Kingdom of GOD. You can say, the way they took Him, was the cowardly way. But, of course, things of darkness are done in darkness, in the secrecy of the night. So they showed their hand. So they show their way. By their fruit shall you know them.

You know, we often stand in somewhat of the same situation. I know, you might think it a stretch of comparison, and of course we are not on our way to the cross. But, think of ridicule or when we have something of value on the scale, when those that we find ourselves with speak against our faith. Have you denied Jesus Christ like Peter did? Have you run away from situations, in fear for your life or even just for the sake of shame in this world we are living in? How about when you are expected to do something that is against the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ? How does the book read, when we look at profits and losses? When we stand between those that we wish to be a part of, or those who we can gain profit from in business; do we forsake the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Do we love our lives unto death and deny Christ when our survival is threatened? Then we have become Good Weather Friends. Then we come to Christ for our own profit too, for asking for forgiveness, even when we are reluctant to repent. It is always somebody else’s fault, isn’t it, we refuse to see when we stand in the wrong? We pray for our own causes to the Lord. This should not be. Then, we are questionably on the Right Way. Have we then become like the young rich man, who upheld the law of Moses since he was young, but are grieved when we are told to sell all that we have and give to the poor, to pick up our cross and follow Jesus Christ? It is a thing with mankind, we shelter that which we attach value to, when will our faith become the chief of that? Man stands in lip service only. We crack under pressure and right now the pressure is on, all around the world. So are families torn apart, church congregations parted asunder. You see, because man is into things for what he can profit from it in our carnal ways. We walk away when we are displeased, offended or in danger. It is the cowardly way. Even the disciples of Jesus Christ were not immune to that, Peter drawing the sword and the others running away. They came to fetch Jesus Christ at night in the garden by an armed group, when He stood in peace amongst them, teaching them of the Kingdom of GOD by day.

Do you still think it is a stretch for the title of today? What about our withdrawal from friends, when shame comes upon them? Have you not seen it, has it not happened to you? Have you not been let alone in your trying times? But, do you know Who remained, and gave you strength to endure through all you have been? That’s right, He that they abandoned here. Look, you are yet alive, breathing; you have not reached the end of your life yet. Even in the still of night, when dark times are all around you, Jesus Christ is near, by the Holy Spirit poured out in you.

Mankind is good weather friends, but Jesus is an all weather Friend. When you are in trouble, even at the Throne of GOD, He advocates for you. He paid with His Blood for you, so you would not die, but that you may have eternal life. But, to be able to say that, Jesus had to suffer all upon the earth that He did. He had to go to the cross and die upon it, be laid down in a tomb, to resurrect from it. He had to ascend to Heaven, where He can stand at the Throne of GOD, for those that believe in Him.

Selah, Shalom

1 Peter 3:8-12 KJV

[8] Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: [9] not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. [10] For He that will love life, And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips that they speak no guile: [11] Let him eschew evil, and do good; Let him seek peace, and ensue it. [12] For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, And his ears are open unto their prayers: But the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

Mark 14:1-25 KJV

[1] After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death. [2] But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people. [3] And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head. [4] And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? [5] For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her. [6] And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me. [7] For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always. [8] She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying. [9] Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her. [10] And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them. [11] And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.  [12] And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover? [13] And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him. [14] And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? [15] And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us. [16] And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover. [17] And in the evening he cometh with the twelve. [18] And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me. [19] And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I? [20] And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish. [21] The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born. [22] And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body. [23] And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it. [24] And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many. [25] Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

Note for 20250131

So much has been said about the Last Supper, and those who partake in the Holy Communion have surely heard it over and over again. But what of the opening of this chapter, how the chief priests and the scribes sought to take Him by craft, and put Him to death? The chief priests, those who came from the line of Aaron from the tribe of Levi, the tribe that was set aside by GOD for temple service, GOD’S portion of the Israelite, in exchange for the first born of Israel for the Passover Salvation that Israel received of GOD, in Egypt. The very same feast they were about to enter into, and the meal that Jesus and His disciples had as the Last Supper. We have read in Ezra 9 about the defilement of the Holy Seed, and here we read of the heart of those who were supposed to lead Israel in worship, especially at this time of the memorial feasts of Passover and unleavened bread.

The Scribes were those who maintained the Law, copying and teaching the law of Moses. They drew up legal documents and studied the law. I suppose you could say, in today’s speech, they were lawyers. So they stood for the written law, and yet, here they conspire with the chief priests to put their Messiah to death.

These two factions of men can be seen as the elite of Israel, the head of “the justice system” of the Jews. They were essentially like the lawyers, advocates and judges; from our modern point of view. They judged Jesus Christ as unworthy, for the sake of offense; for Christ printed out their hypocrisy and the sin of their fathers who killed those GOD sent as prophets among the Israelites. From these came the Rabbi’s of that time, the teachers of the law, with their commentaries.

Next, we see this woman that poured out Spikenard, an expensive ointment, upon the head of our Lord Jesus Christ. Christ said that she came ahead, to anoint His body for death. He honors her to the point that an account of her would be kept wherever the Gospel was brought.

Then we have the disciples of Christ, those who left everyone and everything behind to follow Christ. And, even amongst these there is Judas, who betrayed the Lord. From other accounts of the same we also know that it was he that was offended by the action of this woman who anointed the head of Christ, for he held the bags with money, and it is written that he was a thief. (See John 12:6)

Just in this very short time that we have spent so far in the Book of Mark, we have seen all kinds of people, as Jesus and His disciples interacted with them. We have seen the way of the Pharisees and scribes, even how it appears that there was some kind of complicity between the Pharisees and the Herodians. We have seen that there was a division between the Pharisees and scribes in spiritual matters and the resurrection of the dead. We have seen that those that are unwell needed healing, and by their faith they were healed by Christ. We saw that in the home territory of Christ he did not do much, where He famously said that a prophet is not honored in his home country. We have seen those possessed by unclean spirits and devils, we have read how Christ even said to Peter, “get behind me Satan.” We have seen so much of who man is, even those who were hungry for bread. We have seen Herod and the practice of his sin and of his pride, of Herodias and her conspiracy to kill John the Baptist. And in all, even here at the end, we see next how the disciples of Jesus Christ will scatter when He is taken to the cross.

What is the nature of mankind then? How far do we fall short of the Glory of GOD? How far have we fallen, since the first fall in the garden in Eden? God gave His law to Moses, but even the chief priests and scribes stood in corruption, here with their minds and hearts set on murder. Paul wrote that the law was given so man could know what sin is. But, the law condemned mankind, for no one but Christ could uphold it.

Here, in our reading today, it is Jesus Christ that proclaims a new testament in His Blood shed for us. What man could not do, that he did on our behalf and took the penalty of sin, which is death, upon himself. Like a husband, He took the penalty of sin upon himself and paid the price for all mankind. And yet, only those who say yes, and accept His invitation to eternal life can have a part in it. Those who will become one with Him, cleave to Him in the Spirit. What GOD has put together, let no man separate it.

We have seen the nature of man, in the carnal form how it always yearns for error. We have learned of the choice we have to make, to walk after sin or after Jesus Christ to Salvation. The greatest part of man will determine this choice, if a man is evil at the root of him, then he will go to that which he knows best and loves. We are the product of the fruit that was eaten in the garden in Eden, knowledge of both good and evil. Is that not what we still contend with until this very day?

Now, each of us are left with this in the day we are in: do we stand for good, or do we stand for evil. For mankind has found a way to call that which is good evil, and that which is evil, good. Will we choose this day to stand in obedience to GOD Almighty, or shall we go after the corruption of Satan? For those that choose good, GOD sent His only Begotten Son for Salvation. But, those that choose evil, will follow Satan to the lake of fire.

Each day we choose. Each day we walk into a direction, either good or evil. If we stand for life, then we walk after the beacon of Life everlasting, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. But, those who stand for death, walk after death, they walk in ways of corruption, even unto death. It is as if the corruption of the soul precedes the corruption that will come to the flesh, when it is laid again in the dust.

This day, you have a choice. And if GOD is gracious, tomorrow you might just get another chance. But, don’t you know that an extension of life is for grace. Time is afforded to mankind so they may choose life instead of death. We have seen the nature of mankind, what then may we choose our nature to become?

Selah, Shalom.

Verse of The Day

From the YouVersion Bible App for 20250203 (Expanded from verse 17)

James 1:12-18 KJV

[12] Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. [13] Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: [14] but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. [15] Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. [16] Do not err, my beloved brethren. [17] Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. [18] Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

Mark 13:1-37 KJV

[1] And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! [2] And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. [3] And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, [4] Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled? [5] And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: [6] for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. [7] And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. [8] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. [9]  But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. [10] And the gospel must first be published among all nations. [11] But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. [12] Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. [13] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. [14]  But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judæa flee to the mountains: [15] and let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house: [16] and let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment. [17] But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! [18] And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter. [19] For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. [20] And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. [21] And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: [22] for false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. [23] But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. [24]  But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, [25] and the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. [26] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. [27] And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. [28]  Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: [29] so ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. [30] Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. [31] Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. [32]  But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. [33] Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. [34] For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. [35] Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: [36] lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. [37] And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Note for 20250130

You know, the interesting thing is that Jesus was speaking to Peter, James, John and Andrew; which means that they are those who published this abroad first. The Gospel had to be published first to all nations. Now some will say, this has not happened yet, that the Word of GOD has not been published in all languages yet, but how many of those have learned another language for the sake of self, in which the Word of GOD is published. Besides, published here, points to being preached. These things are too high for me, for only GOD knows the day. How often have you heard this message preached, from any of the accounts that was given of it, in the Word of GOD, or by the Word of GOD? Is the Word not in our hearts?

Mark 13:11 KJV

[11] But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

The believer in Jesus Christ is like a fireman, what the world fears, we walk towards. We know that He that comes to judge the World is our Lord and Saviour. When we see all these things, we look up, for we know that our redemption draws near, whether we are put to death for the sake of Jesus Christ, or whether we are called up into heaven, yet being alive. The change will come, for it is of GOD, that the sheep be gathered with the sheep; and the goats with the goats.

Maybe you have forgotten a little, but by the Spirit may you be reminded.

Revelation 19:7-10 KJV – The Marriage of the Lamb

[7] Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. [8] And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. [9] And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. [10] And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Do not give heed to what you will say in the hour of your trial, for it shall be given to you in the same hour. But know that all these things will come, they must come, for it is prophesied. We are on watch for the Groom. That’s right we are awaiting this feast, we are invited, even betrothed to the Lamb of GOD. For all the shifting of sands and peoples, the roaring and the rising of the sea; for all the falling stones and flattening of mountains, even for the rising valleys; all of it must come, as surely as the coming of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

It appears that man still doesn’t understand, Christ had to die and make atonement for us, for man could not save himself. By the Love of GOD was His only Begotten Son sent to us, and by the hands of the accusers was the Son of GOD placed on trial. They found the innocent guilty, and hung Him on a cross, so the guilty may be saved. So, when you see all of these signs, even when those in Judea flee from where they are, for the abomination that stands where it shouldn’t, then know that your redemption draws near.

Can I ask you a question? Who builds a high tower to himself, when the rapport has already gone out that it will be destroyed? Who dives into the ocean, with a coming tsunami in view? Who builds his house in the path of a flood, when the water is on the way? I wonder what Solomon may have written with these in mind. My hope is not in riches, or in men; but my Hope is in our Father in Heaven, and Him that He sent. So, I will stand for Him to whom both the mountains and the valleys are as flat plains. For the sea will fail, and the mountain tops will crumble and the valleys will be filled; and yet, the Word of GOD will remain.

Additional Scriptures Quoted in Voice Note:

[12] When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled; [13] then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them: [14] I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me. [15] Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

For the Nay-Sayers, read below; does it not speak about meat for the house of GOD too?

Malachi 3:10 KJV

[10] Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
